I put 2 inch blocks under my seats to raise them up. I'm liking the results.
Thought about adding a little to the fronts for a little more legroom and lay seat back a bit. Don’t know yet, I’ll get some time in it first, I’ve really felt pretty cozy in ones I’ve driven. Saw a few people like it better.

Well s***. Treehouse buddy posted to Facebook about a big ride tomorrow. Called him up and he’s making the 2hr drive down his dirt road tonight. Staying with us in the camper.
I put Talon together and we loaded up in 15 minutes. Talk about short notice. Oh well. First official trip,I guess it fits lol.
off we go. Holy shot we’re headed over one of the nastiest couple passes in the northwest. I’ve seen brand new half tons overheated on those hills, come on on Sequoia! Gunna go through some gas and machine Talon loaded in rear of an ATV hauler…might be last post lol. Send it😂

f*** ya!!! Imho love the Talon! Holy f*** they move, felt so good driving my own, wanting this machine before it and out. A certain Honda important member on this site told me to hold off on the YXZ and I can say I’m glad I did. Sucked waiting till I could do it lieu needed but it’s here.
Not sure if machine or tires but it struggled a little in snow, but hammer down. We did winch some, didn’t know first trip would be snow but damn fun. Tires lit the hell up. They really really skoot, so stable. Wife never b****ed coming around corners on the dirt sideways. She told me it rides so much rougher but felt comfortable and solid. My sentiments too.
I see some downfalls but other ways holy s***. Only hit a couple decent trails, mainly logging roads. Wicked fast!! I knew that coming in by my previous experience but it’s much more then I thought.
Anyways this is only mud and probably snow this machine has hit, it’ll never be as clean as this morning. What a great night. Now to go up against local Jeep’s and Popo’s tomorrow, not like my buddy and I can’t ride and are afraid of breaking things so can’t wait.

Well we started the weekend only Sxs’s in a big Jeep ride, and our friend in the crawler Toyota. Like what you see around, 3/4 the Jeeps went for one of the two dirt road rides. Us of course went the way of the more extreme group.
We started ride in back and had no problem getting out front. Talon felt best around 3-4mph in low so I kept it there when possible but there was just a ton of really slow crawl stuff. Half way up the 15 mile waterfall it was just down to us and two crawlers, a stock looking Jeep that had all the goods and a bad ass custom Bronco. Because of the size of the Talon and on this particular ride the Talon was incredible. f***ing incredible. I-4wd was good I only felt front end jerking for traction a couple times and did the climb great. Struggled a bit over debarked logs and a couple sections but easy and really did well.
We ran so well our group was only that hit the top and continued to the trails and some creek rides. Two Talons and a Toyota crawler. Up top it was cold and snowed heavy on us. We continued on. Rode 10 hrs straight all heavy terrain, most all terrain you can get into.

Btw the Talon has a “few” new scars and scratches but nothing broke. All additions were flawless, SuperATV skid sticker is long gone and a few gouges but damn I like this machine and so does the wife. She kept saying keep going. As in same fashion of the Pioneer we always took the worst route and ate s*** but it just kept going. The crawler guys gave props especially because it had stock suspension and tires. Had to smash a couple things to get up over but it did it. No regrets! Love this machine.

Ya definitely knew going in what the machine was, it does really well for a stock sport machine, couldn’t be happier. Was fun not caring if a bungled up a friends machine this time.
Wish pics would’ve been better there was some gnarly stuff I just didn’t get pics of and no one was taking pictures. Was hoping for more on my machine but I guess my buddies crap phone pic will have to do.

It is a combination of the suspension and the i4WD.

If you want/need to do better in snow and mud, you will need to soften up the suspension and get a TorqLocker.
Didn’t get into heavy mud but you could see and feel it in snow. There were only a couple times did I wish for the locker, there were times. Other times I felt like I was purposely beating on the front end to bypass it. I think other then heavy mud we were specifically finding it’s downfalls.
Bulls*** it has same traction but it did better then I thought it would. Momentum is important. Most of the time it was just fine and felt good, but those would’ve been times I was in regular 4wd in Pioneer not lock, it felt like that to me.
She did it though and won’t be punished by a rock crawl like that every trip out.
As far as suspension goes…it’s really good at high speed and takes hard hits like a champ however probably 8hrs of straight hitting big rocks and logs I’m a bit sore today. Like bad. I’d be too in pioneer though probably.
Need some more time and average our riding some out before a locker or suspension is considered. I don’t love the ratchet locker and don’t want to send shocks off, but we’ll see. I knew downfalls coming into this so that stuff isn’t yet bothering me. She is fun
