The notch for the injector is on the wrong side. I'd have to put the throttle body on backwards for everything to match up.

Guess I should update this thread......
The block and pistons are due back on Wednesday (took way longer than I was told🤬) and once I have those I can start putting the engine back together with all the other new parts I ordered from Honda.
Short course racing has all but died out around here except for a series that I absolutely refuse to give my money to so I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do once it's back together. I'm basically hanging my hat on the hopes that Desoto Motorsports park in Louisiana who has just finished a year long track build gets something going this fall. There are a few local motocross tracks in the area that have SxS tracks that I can take my junk to for practice and beat on it until my heart is content but no racing. 😴

That's disappointing that the short course racing has evaporated. A couple of years ago the Louisiana Cross Country racing discontinued the UTV classes. Not sure why because they seemed very popular.
If I were ever to do any racing it would be desert racing. Unfortunately I'm about as far from those events as I could be. I'm still fascinated by the distances of the races and I like that it's not a track.

Kory and Jacob selling their cars and getting out of racing says alot about the future of short course racing around here. It is what it is.
The desert racing thing has crossed my mind lately. I have a good friend sponsored by Ford who runs a Bronco in Ultra 4 and just got back from his first ever desert race (V2R) and is hooked. He said it's the most fun he has ever had driving.
Or I might buy a KRX and throw 33's and a cage at it and go trail riding/rock crawling like normal people do. 😆

My hand is out of the cast and doing much better. I've got about 70% range of motion back and going to PT twice a week so I should be back to 100% in no time. My right knee is a whole different story.... WC kept dropping the ball on getting me an MRI and then a specialist appointment but after a bunch of phone calls and threats of a lawyer they finally got me in to see one on Friday and it's looking like I'm going to need surgery to repair the problems. The doctor is going to call me this week to set something up.

If I bought another Talon R instead of the KRX I'd be too tempted to cut it up and build a new and improved short course car and/or steal parts off it for the race car and that wouldn't go over well with my wife at all.
KRX will get a winch, skidplates, a simple home built cage similar to a Cagewrx sport cage and some harnesses and I'm going to take my wife out trail riding like I was supposed to do with the Talon before I discovered short course racing. 🤣
