No scales at the track. No weight rules so no need I guess..

I'm going to buy a set of race car scales this winter. After reviewing the new 2022 rules that just came out for the series I race, lightness, chassis setup and driving talent are going to play a way bigger part in running up front than building a big motor with an unlimited budget. There still isn't a weight rule but the new engine rules are going to stop people from buying wins and championships like certain people have done this year.

New N/A engine rules say stock bore, stroke and compression. If you want to run a high compression N/A engine with a monster cam and everything that goes along with it your going to have to move to an Outlaw class that allows turbos and unlimited engine mods. N/A motors will be roadblocks in that class.

Alot of guys that went full retard on their engine builds this year thinking the rules were going to still be unlimited next year are screwed unless they revert back to stock. Have fun racing against built turbo cars.... 🤣
Do you know anyone that can build a turbo talon engine? Only place i can find is dr powersports. Some mixed reviews there

Bell Engines is the guy you want to talk to.
Look him up on FB and send him a message

My engine is there now getting a makeover for 2025 that should really wake it up.

Nothing new to report on the Talon but I did put some new lights and a HF Apex winch on the KRX a few weeks ago to get it ready for our Thanksgiving trip to Hidden Falls.....

I should be getting the new motor back from Bell Engines in the next couple of weeks and then the big push to get it installed and brought over to PPEI for dyno tuning starts. First race of my season is going to be March 22nd at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. It's been way too long since I've raced this thing, and I'm starting to get antsy.

I know Kahns smoked the motor. Glocks 2 seater's motor was getting ready to do the something as Kahns when he traded it for a 4 seater. Fuel was getting in the engine oil and smoking the motor. There were several on the krx forum that's had engine issues.
Yea my motor went at 3.4K miles, suspect that the tune played a part in it as well as maybe one of those aftermarket filters that are washable but no way to really tell. Kawi rebuilt and covered all cost on it. I got Glock paranoid about his, but he sent off the oil to Blackstone and had an analysis done on it and according to them it was all good.

A simple side flop, or a roll? I don't see a trail in that 2nd pic...

Steep climb that I got my front tires to the top of but the the RR slid off the side of the bank and we started going over backwards. Not cool! I popped it into reverse and luckily it cased the passenger side into the bank and stopped us from rolling down a long steep hill. This picture gives you a better idea of what it looked like from the top.

That second picture is the trail. I have no idea if this video will load, but I'll try.....

Edit: It wouldn't let me load the full video so here is 7 seconds of it. Lol

One more...

Can't see the videos, did you load them to YouTube and post the link? The sound came through ok.

No uploaded directly to the site, I don't have a YouTube account. Weird, the videos all loaded on the offroad forum I frequent but not here and I did both the same way.

I only frequent two sites, neither will let me load a video directly, both have to use YouTube links. Being a (very) senior, computers are the devil, so I can't speak to a higher level than that -

Probably the 3 batteries/isolators on one side so you can run the winch for one minute helped put u on your side.

glad to hear the f-back on the KRX - appears to be a beast - starting to think about it 😂

37s might have gotten you up that first climb. The lunatic one, would have taken 40s, balls, skills and luck lol

I lowered it almost 2" after putting the 35s on to get the CG lower for big climbs and to try and keep the front from pushing off so much. It hurt and helped at the same time. Way less push off than before but at the expense of ground clearance. Next time I go there I'm going to raise the ride height back up and see where that gets me.

I also need to build a cage for that thing sooner than later. Stock one is fine for flops but I'm not sure it's backflip and roll down a big ass hill rated.
