At least it was a cheap/inexpensive solution!
I still remember when first joined there was a guy that was giving me s*** on one of my first posts when I said something would be cheap and easy. He said around hear people have Hondas so there isn’t really any cheap and people do things the right way not the easy way. I haven’t heard much from him in a long while.

That’s type of thing looking for. I looked at Tupperware and bowls, didn’t see right depth. Wonder what metal would sound like? Be easy to change out if didn’t work. I’ll look tonight
Could you coat the bakery pans with bedliner or something to dampen the tinny sound?

Edit.... @Neohio beat me to it!

If the depth works, just spray em with rocker guard next time you have a can in your hand at work. It should help with getting rid of the vibration/tin sound.
Cake pans wins. Not necessarily the material looking for but right size and shape. Good call. Think maybe try some sound deadening to kill off the tin sound. Cheap and easy lol.
Bonus, made in USA. Who knew there was such thing from Wallyworld.

They make foam baffles to go inside if you're worried about it sounding tinny.

All baffles I looked at were too deep. But I just happened to have some Dynamat out home. Had a box leftover from the 15 boxes I used on the pickup build🤗 Put a piece inside and on top, sounds nice and solid when you knock on um now. I’ll 3m double back tape and some small screws to hold them down.
Also was wondering what I’d cover the overhead console with. Well that worked out for that. Not the prettiest without roof on but functional and solid.
The overhead unit is being held up by 5 existing roof mount holes, simply bolt roof on top and it’s nice and secure. No damn ROPS straps.
