What are instructions?
I forgot group full of men. These are instructions, they are directions that often arrive with things that need installed or assembled.

Today is second day of cleanup from Helene. Trying not to have to handle sticks, branches more times than necessary. Back up to burn pit and slide stuff off pulling cardboard underneath. Got our 520 and whole house generator after selling our beloved motorhome as getting too old. Generator ran for about 48 hrs until 10pm last night. We were really lucky!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday used it at Knollbrook Farm corn maze. Busy gathering and hauling pumpkins, directing traffic and organizing parking. Last week did it Friday and Saturday. Sunday was rained out. Need to remember to take some pictures. Was very busy. We will have school groups Tuesday through Friday the next several weeks. Open to the public Friday evening through Sunday.

This past week-end my riding group did our annual out-of-state ride at Brimstone Recreation Area. So we were actually on the opposite side of I-75 from the MOM ride! Looking through the MOM thread it looks like we got lucky on the weather for the mountain range just south of Brimstone made Helena take a hard right to the east. We never saw high winds nor torrential rains predicted. We got wet for it did rain pretty much non-stop from Thursday through Saturday afternoon, but a lot of fun was had.

I took the P500 along as "back-up" for if I beat myself up too bad on my quad. But Friday morning (our first ride day) things were aching and not moving right, so I did not unload the quad and just ran the P500 for the whole time.

So, to my point: on Saturday the trails turned to complete mud - snot! and at the end of the ride, heading back to the campground, climbing a steep and rutted mud hill, I joined the P500 flop-over club!

It was complete slow-motion. The left tires decided to slip into different ruts right at the same time and I think it took about 3~4 seconds for it to go from vertical to horizontal. We had been picking up trail trash all day so when I went over, all that and a small cooler I had on the floorboard kind of pinned my feet in so the true struggle was to get loose from the 4-point harness and the junk. I was then standing in the rut that put the ROPS bar of the right side at neck level, so took the windshield off and climbed out that way. So KyGal83- I found my emergency exit!

3rd day Helene cleanup. pulling piles of branches w/logging chain. Almost all Columbia County has electric as of yesterday. Lotsa places still messed up, but we were exceptionally lucky. Only work til dinner time, too old to last full day. Our Mighty Mouse has really helped, pulling both trailer and dragging big branches and piles of smaller ones.

Went through there early Saturday, About 4.30am. The damage from 129 and 75 up through Jasper to my property in Ga was unbelievable. From the Loves Truck stop for the next 175 miles no power anywhere. Took extra Gas just in case. We got more flooding but the wind damage you guys north of us was bad. Good luck and hope normal retunes to you soon

Red500 - Yes, I thought about trying to talk the group into joining you guys for the Saturday MOM ride, but the way we got all the machines to Brimstone (mostly toy haulers) it would have been a lot of time and logistics to get them moved there. Plus needing to buy more permits to ride the MOM area.

Thought about bailing on my group and just me join you guys but I did not want to miss out on this Saturday evening:

Our riding buddy that we started our out of state rides for is a steak genius! I have yet to have a steak at a restaurant that even comes close to one of his.

We decided to take the P5 to Coalmont Off Road Park. I didn’t notice any P5’s definitely not the best for the pioneer. There were a lot of impressive Razors and such. I felt a little out gunned.

It was very rocky and steep, but the little goat impressed me again. We had some “pucker moments “ but we never got stuck and made it down to the gulf and back up. I gave the skids a good workout, but they did great and I never got hung up. I was on 2 wheels a few times.

My only issue was a flat. The rocks cut my sidewall, thankfully I had a few plugs and a compressor in my box. I’ll probably be looking for some new tires soon. I’m running 26” bighorn knockoffs. As much as I’d like to go bigger. I’m concerned about flopping

We did all the green and blue trails. I didn’t have the nerve to attempt the black trails after the flat. The blue trails were challenging enough. Unfortunately you have to take the black trail to get to the cave so we missed that.

The park is great, just not super enjoyable with the P5, but we had a great time. The goat amazed me again.
