When I first got this machine, the wife and I were all geared up for the first ride. Helmets, gloves, glasses, everything was new, probably looked like total newb's, lol! No gps and going off a paper map we hit the first trail and got our ass kicked. Machine was tippy, 26's and no spacers, almost tipped it over 2 mins. into the ride, bounced the rops hard off a tree on a banked turn...not a good trail!
We've been riding this trail system for 3 1/2 yrs now and I've passed by that trail at least a dozen times and nothing is ever said, we just don't take that trail. Today, I turned into it. The wife looked over and asked " what are you doing, you know what trail this is right"? I said "yeah, I owe it an ass whipping"!
I felt some form of serenity and inner peace after putting a b**** slap on it!
Anyway, that's what I did with my Pioneer 500 today. :D[/QUO
Good job....as a friends 7 year old told me Don't let it win

Loaded it up for a ride in Gallatin NF. Strapped-in my fly rod if I saw some interesting creeks.

No creeks, got about 10 miles in to look at a ridge we see from our house.

Kept drivin’

Got to the end of the atv trail, and bear spray and 45 in hand, I wasn’t in the mood for 1+ mile on foot. This looks like bear terrain and the Gallatin mountains have a healthy griz population.

Turned around, got a shot looking north towards Bozeman in the valley.

Did the toughest trail to date for me on the Mica Ridge. Came down the other side to the unrestricted trail, and there were a group if people on vacation. They somehow rolled the rental Kawasaki Teryx4, looks like he destroyed it.

One 15 year old boy got a broken arm, they took off with him in a functioning utv after I told them where Deaconess Hospital ER was in Bozeman. Lucky that was the only injury. He had a seatbelt on- he must have reached outside.

I helped where I could, calming them as best I could and convinced the other kids they would not be eaten by bears- but it would be best if they drove out to their cars and not wait for the rental company to come up for the wreck.

The fellow who rolled it rode passenger beside me in my P5.

Quite a day!

P500 fixed and helped finish up with building creek dock and wheeled launch. Adding wheels to sliding boat launch was comparable to adding Power Steering on the P500. Found some use for those HF wheels.. easy pull by hand, but can also use the P500 winch when old and worn out. (Me, not the P500) LOL
Green hose is suction for pumping 600 ft. to the pasture creek, amazed at the 2 inch HF 212cc honda clone pump.

Had my P500 out to the club to do some work. My little Oxcart trailer is proving its worth....Anyway, I changed oil tonight and that proved to be a little bit of an adventure. The drain plug ended up on the skid plate and I wasted 15 minutes trying to find and get it out :(

Why I like the Strong-made bumper. Pushing downed trees off the trail, and tree marks just rub off. Funny what you will do with the P500 after the new “don’t scratch it” feeling is long gone by.
