Windshield questions for you’ns!

I’ve looked around and found a couple options. Seems like the SuperATV is the most popular. Is there any strong arguments or opinions on other options before I buy?

Edit*
I should say this is for a street rig so “DOT COMPLIANT”

Doesn't DOT compliant mean it has to be glass with a windshield wiper? I know that's the requirement for street licensing a SxS here in MI.

I have a glass super atv windshield with a manual wiper. But I assumed the dot compliant meant that they used laminated safety glass

I too have purchased the super ATV flip up windshield and it’s a fantastic solid option with great features. I only have a couple hundred miles on the machine since purchasing it but am always worried about cleaning it properly and maintaining a scratch free windshield. Yeah you can use a wiper but it’s not recommended on poly and will eventually scratch and ruin the windshield. If I had to do it again I’d probably get a glass windshield with a wiper.

First post in this thread.
Superatv flip up installed in 2019, still works great. No wiper.
I clean with a spray bottle mix of Dawn dish soap and h20 - 50/50, no scratches. Build quality holding up fine.
Rig is licensed in another (red) state with no questions about a DOT certification.
Questionable that any lexan (plexiglass) shield could meet a DOT requirement?
I'd buy again.

We had an ice storm apocalypse at the end of March up here in Northern MI. This is my entry to the trails, so me and the boys went out to get started on opening it up.

Still not there, we turned around and wrapped up for the day.

Our trails are an absolute train wreck.

Ice storms can be brutal and is strange how the elevation can effect damage.

Yep. I've been through a buncha Northern Utah blizzards that were pretty bad.
But then I experienced a few Illinois ice storms that were much worse.
Breaks trees everywhere (like the photo), no power for days, and your cars freeze to the ground - keyhole iced in and doors sealed shut.

Our power was out for 11 days. The power company typically replaces 800 poles a year. This storm has required nearly 3000 poles.

I think we got less than 1/2 mile into the trails today with 12 man hours.
