Got bored this afternoon and put some stickers on
Cusk, eelpout and burbot are all one and the same. Nasty looking bottom dwellers but delicious white fillets. Fish tacos are on the menu this week. Also really popular for chowder.
In NH you are allowed 6 cusk lines, separate from your regular lines on certain lakes. Can be set and left for 24hrs, night bite is usually best. Can also jig them. 2 keepers overnight, this is the biggest.

I have only ever caught one eelpout in my life on lake of the woods. It was 2.5-3 lbs. It was slimy and kept trying wrap around my arm. Heard they were good so I kept it. It was disgusting to clean but we deep fried the filets on it and I honestly thought it was better than the walleye we ate with it.
Final product. Have enough for 2 meals.
Did have my first no start Sunday morning from the Pioneer when going to check the lines. Sat outside on the trailer all night and the low was -8. Cranked and cranked but she was real cold. Waited a couple hours in the sun and fired up. Anyone else have issues with cold weather starts?

Not with the Pioneer but have experienced that with snowmobiles. We'd just pull the plugs and heat them up with a lighter. Seemed to work.

Added a dual battery setup. well almost, the True isolator didn't get here in time so I left a cable loop where it goes and will finish it when it gets here.

I've been building up my new pioneer with goodies. Lots of good info and ideas here in this post
Got out to my Local State Vehicle Recreation Area (off road park) for some Winter Riding. Also took a ROHVA (Recreational Off Highway Vehicle Association) basic driver Safety class for kicks (scheduled in advance). It is a good way to get new SxS owners operators aquatinted to UTV / SxS vehicle operation and handling. FYI, in California at SVRA the class is free as the state covers the cost via a grant. Not sure where all this is offered nation wide but a good way to get newbies so formal education. Interesting some Corporations and Govt. agencies that use SxS for work operations are sending employees for Basic operation certification.
Advanced auto is going out of business, and I just got all the stuff to do the dual batt DIY for $32. Wire, relay, and 2 batteries! If anyone has an AdvancedAuto and you’re west of the Mississippi, your store is closing and everything is 90% off!!! These light switch kits are $3.56 each and the light cube (last one they had) was $7. And then we came home and the kids, niece and nephew did doughnuts with Bender in papas back pasture!

That one took me by surprise. We have one here in my small Northern MI town.
I looked it up, and apparently they're closing around 500 of about 4800 stores, so not exactly going out of business. Not a good sign for them, though.
Yup. Wild. The guy I buy all my parts from here in town said they were told the day after Thanksgiving that everyone is getting let go and the business is shutting down 700+ stores. So far my f350 entire front end, hub to hub, was $280! Plus a starter and alternator! And all my 80’s rabbits have parts for the next few decades!
