Upgraded the stock Swamp Donkey with new Fusion speakers, Fusion Apollo head unit and Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp under the driver’s seat. Sound quality is a big improvement especially when cruising down the road….

Finally finished my ceiling install . I got the idea from @CumminsPusher rebuild thread. Its nice to have the extra lights. I added a wrecking yard sun-visor. I think it brightens up the interior, absorbs some of the sound and helps the anemic OEM heater. I'm thinking it will keep some of the summer heat out as well

To do this I first made brackets that I attached to the roof mounts

Then I made a template by hot gluing many small pieces of wood together

Using this template I cut a piece of plywood, covered it with speaker cabinet cloth, installed lights that connect to my courtesy light switch, then I covered the top with 3/4 foil faced foam

You can feel it for sure. It’s not horrible going straight down the road. Averaged 13mpg running 60-65 mph. I’ll probably have the Talon on there more than the pioneer. That should be a bit lighter and lower profile so I’m hoping it will be better.

After clearing the second round of snow, I put on the chains for winter plowing.
Didn't need them in the plowed parking lot for the photo, but was leaving belly rub tracks driving elsewhere.
