P1000 New pioneer 1000-5 loss of power while accelerating and stalling

Thanks for letting us know. This adds to the knowledge base.
I bought a tank vent extension kit a few years ago and had never quite got around to installing it (I wasn't fording rivers).
This gives me a reason to get it done.
PS: I think I bought the kit through someone on this site.

Well there was a bit of drama to it all that.
First when I went up there to pick it up my throttle mod had been removed and I had
to have them put it back on. It is a
Honda Pioneer 1000
and its awesome for long trips. Apparently they had taken it off and left it on a shelf in the shop
Secondly I took it out when I got home and the heater didnt work. I decided then
to make them fix it as everything I looked at I could not determine what it was offhand.
So they offered to come the 45 mins to my place which was nice but then called
the next day and said there were "scheduling issues"
So then today since I Work from Home I grabbed my computer and hauled it in
and the tech found that he had mistakenly disconnected a connector when rooting
around.
Actually the first tech said it was a "fraid" cable he found, but the other tech admitted
that he had disconnected something. So the first guy was trying to blame wear and tear
or whatever on the problem and the 2nd guy was honest, hats off to him.
So now I am all set for the 3 day weekend and hope to make it to the coast from
my house based on some info from a facebook group.

OH and also I found out that the heater has been recalled and its no longer available to buy as
a accessory. However its not showing up on mygarage as a recall but it is at the dealer.

In troubleshooting the problem I was looking for the instructions on how to install it and stuff
and I finally found it here and basically figured out where the dealership screwed up

I attached scan of the recall notice I got from dealer. I suspect that someone sued
honda and caused grief for the rest of us and they recalled the product as it works
fine for me


I need to figure out why I wasnt notified since I have that heater so that I can be notified of recall.

Lesson learned through all of this, this forum is better then anything and God helps those who help
themselves and if I had just stuck to it I would have figured it out and not had all these problems so
I am not renewing warranty and never taking it to a dealer again.

Holy crap. They must be getting them from the same Polaris supplier. china. They need to be cut off from the rest of actual society !
