I got the 814’s installed, greased the wheel bearings, finally removed the rest of the sway bar, and almost finished making the rear front mud stoppers

Added a simple suicide knob to my P1k5 today.

10 bucks at local farm ranch store.
Now I can steer and run my winch easier with my left hand, while shifting / turning blade with my right.

bolts in the pkg are just long enough to engage the nuts when fully tightened down.

Got to run my plow with my new knob. What a big difference! So much easier to run the setup and use both hands. Running my winch and steering with my left really speeds up the plowing.

just like running my tractors with loaders.

Probably the best $10 mod I did to my pioneer.

10 o'clock is where mine is at. That way my right hand can run the shifter-winch switch-adult beverage
I've considered those reasons, and they are valid enough. However, to shift, you have to come to a full stop, if I'm using the winch, I have a wireless receiver (works in either hand (the SE came with a wired remote, no dash switch, and I added the wireless). That leaves only the beverage. :)

I guess that depends on which hand gets colder faster. I've got the remote that came with the winch, but if I'm plowing snow, I'd rather use the dash mounted switch. lt's just easier for me and the remote always seems questionable.....

I used the winch for the second time (first time was rescuing my tractor). This time was pulling out a large sagebrush that would have provided "ladder fuel" for a fire to get into big Jeffrey Pine on the mountainside behind my house. Just threw a choker chain around the base and the 4.5K Warn did the rest.

Went for a ride today in the snow today. 12+ inches of snow with up to 24+ inch drifts. Handled it better than I thought it would. My buddy with a pioneer 500 had a rough go of it. 35 miles on and only had to winch out of a drift up to my butt once. Other buddy with a CF Moto chickened out. It started out red. Tons of laughs today! 🤣🤣🤣

Happy day to me.
With discounts I got the 4 ton (HF) floor jack for half price. It picks my Cummins dually work truck front end, like nothing. Not industrial grade but good for Home shop.

Suicide knob (Amazon) just because, it does make sharp turning - quick maneuvering, easier. Takes 10-32 x 1.5 " screws to fit.
