Lucas 75/140 for sure did the trick. What I found it weird though that a simple oil change will quiet it down a bit. I still get Leary to suggest that.

That's what I found strange too. Maybe my oil had broken down from the summer heat? I'm not sure but I may have to try synthetic if the O'rielly brand oil causes gear noise again. I'm stumped on this one but it's no big deal, it just an observation.

Did you use this in the front and rear diffs?

Got around to mounting the light today. It's a little much, I'll admit. Well, I think it's a little much until it's dark and I turn it on. At idle, the volts are 13.6 so it's not too bad.
Can you tell me where yuo got the mounting hardware for the light please. And thanks for all your post's. I just got my p1000-5 and I cant wait to start some of these mods on mine. Also would you have a suggestion as to adding a plow for the winter?

I don't have a suggestion for a plow, I live in AL so there's not much need for one.

I'll be back shortly with the light mounts...

I got the warn plow that Honda puts their name on. I really like it. The only thing I fee is a little cheap is the lever used to change the plow angle. It binds pretty easy when snow gets caked in it.

Putting the plow together was pretty easy but installing the mount on the pioneer was a b!t@h because of the KFI winch mount. It just takes a little patience and some finesse.

Finally, I'm running synthetic winch line. I noticed that the hawse fairlead wore the line down. I switched to a roller fairlead and it seemed to fix the problem.

My only issue now is finding an aftermarket bumper that will work with the plow mount. If you are planning on going with an aftermarket bumper, you may want to look for a mid-mount rather than a front mount.

So doors off for me in the summer for sure. Next summer, I'm removing doors and windshield. It's real nice.

I used someone else's idea and changed out cup holders. I'm so tired of the larger cups not fitting. I'm not sure who I should get credit to, but thank you.

Another thing I added is someone else's idea as well. The bilge fan works great!

It pivots on one side and clamps on the other so that I could aim it directly at the exhaust header. This is the 4" fan and you can hear it running while driving. You can hear it while idling though but that no big deal.

I added a switch for the cooling fan. I'm not real happy right now with that switch panel but it'll get me by until I do something better. The cooling fan switch is next to the phone holder. I cut out the factory voltage meter and use that location for three more switches. One day I would like to redo that switch panel completely.

The last thing I recently added is a dimmer for the interior lights. The lights were so bright it is ridiculous. Sometimes being that bright is a good thing but sometimes I want to run them real dim where they will barely glow and I can see the dash while riding at night.

I noticed your switches are all back lit even when off....and you are running a dual battery setup? A few switches I purchased are back lit but I can't use them currently because i have all my accessories running through a blue sea fuse block, which has power all the time....

How are you doing that?

Yes I wanted them lit when the vehicle is off so I can find switches in the dark. There is only two that will actually turn on the accessory with the key off however.

I am running a dual battery and the lit switches are drawing from that back up battery.

I travel a lot for work and I've been gone for up to 11 days and come home to a battery that was still above 12 volts. Of course, the vehicle will start with the oem battery but I still don't want to drain the spare battery as that will shorten the life.

I understand that part, but I was asking what you have them switched to so when your turn off your machine the back lit goes off? That make sense?

I can run the radio, interior lights, and charge my phone with the key off.

The lightbar is illuminated also but it won't turn on with the key off. I should probably change that part

I use the OEM accessory wire that comes out of the bottom of the fuse box which I think is black with a white stripe. It is a key on power source so that all the back lights will turn off when the key is off.

The back lights that are on all the time or running straight off of the second battery.

If you're wanting the backlights to go off when the switch is off, then power the backlights from the oem charging/accessory socket. the white with black stripe wire.

you can also power the backlights from the oem headlight switch (brown wire) and the backlights will only work when the switch is on and the headlights are on.
