I bought a rivnut tool for those type of installs but in general I try to avoid extra holes in the frame

Lined up the trailing arm guards for install tomorrow

Half installed the front a-arm guards… holes don’t quite line up and the recesses aren’t quite deep enough so I’ll deal with that tomorrow as well

Yea I noticed that as well… at least the the factory LE Pioneer ones has a few holes… might have to remedy that fosho… there goes the warranty

Wow that arm skid is crazy close to that tire…I wonder if that’s too close and might hold rocks etc against the tire?

Looks like it's gotta move up some more to lign up with the bolt holes and that notch at the bottom might make enough clearing for tire space

Hmm. I’ll take an above picture to see how close it is

Looks like it's gotta move up some more to lign up with the bolt holes and that notch at the bottom might make enough clearing for tire space

It can’t move up anymore as it wouldn’t cover the rear portion… I’ll take some updated pictures later this morning

Self tappers for skid plate are installed

I hated those, but the ones that came with the TA skids have actually held up pretty good.

I'm replacing them with rivet nuts if/when they loosen up -- only had to replace one on the P1K5 and none on the Talon so far.
