You jump a tooth in the rack?
Frankly, not totally sure what that means.
Driver's side seems OK, passenger side wonky.
Does jumping a tooth insinuate steering being off on both sides?
Again, I don't know what I'm doing.
I appreciate the help . . .

Wonder if a auto frame shop could put it on their rack and tell what's bent, or is it too small? This is, still, just ugly:

I just don't think the bent mount results in all this.
Thoughts?
If you wanna haul it up North I'll fix it. It'd be a winter project so don't expect it back till SpringI'm not much further along than 7 weeks ago.
I'd pay a guy if there was a guy to pay!
Correct, if you jumped a tooth the steering wheel would just be off centerFrankly, not totally sure what that means.

Na...... a 1000 maybeWould it come back with a 700 in it? 😁
Or meet me in Detroit some time, it'd fit in the Toolbox....boxAt least I'd have a plan. 😑
True. I've never seen inside the P5's rack. Are dual shaft R&Ps even a thing? That would be about the only way I could see it only affecting one side.Correct, if you jumped a tooth the steering wheel would just be off center
No, it's one rack with a bevel pinion.....basically a piece of round stock with teeth on one side then a pinion gear to move it side to side. We have one customer who uses a SCKMM to make the pinion for a European car company......not sure which one though.True. I've never seen inside the P5's rack. Are dual shaft R&Ps even a thing? 🤔I think he should rent it to me for $69.69! I’m certain with the right amount of insurance I can help him end the suspense of finding out what’s broke or bent.Just looked it up. I'm honestly at a loss as to why this thing is so out of whack. It looks like it should be obvious. Only other thing I can think of is to start swapping parts with the 520 to see what changes.

Sorry, I don’t have those fabrication skills. I’d certainly be volunteering to help you out if I did. I can swap parts well enough to change head gaskets and such but my diagnostic skills are not true mechanic level. And I definitely don’t trust myself to fab up my own mounting brackets for stuff. But can you install a 1000??
Nothing wrong with knowing your limits IMHO! I think this is one many of the fellas could have been far faster to help you figure out if the machine was in front of them. Pics just aren’t the same sometimes. It prolly would be obvious, to the right person. I ain't he . . . 🙄
