Ride should be much improved with the longer arms and the inward mounting of the bottom of the shock for those length armsThey are fun, and challenging.
No power and a pretty rough ride, but a very involved driver experience.

Looks good! Got any daylight pics? Been waiting to see your finished buggy.

Lookin good! Not exactly finished, but close enough to finally take her out. I installed a set of my HTRs, 27x9x12 front and 27x11x12 rear, on steelie 4+3 offset wheels. The 27s looked better than I expected on it; thought they'd look small but they look OK IMO. I'm still likely going with 28s.
The surprise was width with the 4+3 wheels. Firstly, the front width was only 3/4" less than the rear. Secondly, overall width was near 60". I believe the rear was 60.5 and the front was 59 3/4". Not enough difference to worry about and trying to run four 10" wide tires gets a bit messy trying to keep track even. So I'm leaning toward HTR 28s, 9s and 11s and probably a 14" 5+2 wheel TBD. Still considering the Blackwater Evolutions as well.
Removed all preload from the rear shocks, have 5 or 6 threads showing on the fronts but still there's rake. I guess I'll add more front-end preload and see how it rides. I'd like to get it level-ish.
Haven't bought any Packout boxes yet.
