All the hype and money spent for a big empty promise.Perfect!! That’s maybe the most use that ride has ever gotten!
But when he asked, I couldn't resist.

I checked that site out when I picked up that recovery ring a while back when you dropped the link to it. Definitely some cool stuff. Here’s a cool site @Kilo427 put me on... Overland Vehicle Systems
its also where we got our recovery rings.
Combo Pack Soft Shackle 7/16" 41,000 lb. and Recovery Ring 4.0" 41,000 lb.
Only if you’re using your vehicle off-road from camp to camp and carting all your stuff with you between setupsAll these years I thought I was just camping... now I found out it’s actually OVERLANDING.... sounds so much cooler! LolView attachment 176698

The more longer pioneer trips that I know of were done by @HoundDog @CumminsPusher @Montecresto and the guys that do that ??? Creek ride like @JTW or @Hondasxs @plummer32 @joeymt and so on but none of anybody’s trips seem like they were longer than an extended weekend. What's the longest overland trip anybody has done in their Pioneer? I'd love to just set off into the wilderness for a few days to explore and put in some miles. I remember reading an article about a couple guys taking two ATV's on a 600-700 mile journey up the west coast that looked like a blast. It was part of the reason I bought my Rubicon but there are only a couple places even remotely close where I could freely explore, and even then I'd be able to cover all of it in a day. I put close to 100 miles on over the course of a day in the Kisatchie National Forest in North LA. I had everything loaded and packed onto the bike to do a couple nights in the woods, but found out when I got there that I could only camp in designated areas so I just offloaded everything into the back of the truck and camped on the trailer .

Honestly, overland travel can be any method over any terrain and should not be limited to rugged 4x4 experiences. I really love watching extreme sports by Bicycle on trails on some of the most insane trails all over the world. Technically it’s over landing. I get the whole point of this thread and that you want to keep it within a certain boundary for camping and riding off-road, but if someone wanted to share their experiences of flying across the amazon basin in a ultralight. It’s still overland travel. To me, like others have said, it’s still just camping out of a vehicle. Remanufactured to make it seem more glamorous. Hence the sarcastic newish name of Glamping. And again, like the batwing, Same basic design with a new modified name. It’s still all the same and we’ve been doing it since the time of the hunter gatherers.Only if you’re using your vehicle off-road from camp to camp and carting all your stuff with you between setups
Whats the deal with the recovery rings being unavailable? It's been like that for a month on Amazon. Selling that quick or having issues? Here’s a cool site @Kilo427 put me on... Overland Vehicle Systems

And you didn’t miss a thing...
I'm still working on it, had to make a beer run. I'll get back to you in a few!Was it everything you hoped for?
Just finished it. I was really disappointed I didn't get to see your trailer, but I did like the schematic you drew up for it! I'm still confused as to if that whole thread was a running joke or if it was real...I assumed this was the new ROTC thread.
