18' car hauler I modded for the 1000-5. I was already using the trailer to haul the Kubota tractor around on. Now that I have -14' dump and a 22' tilt trailers, I'll probably sell the other two.

I'm assuming you've been to any of the expo's? I volunteered at 4 which is why I won't go back...Although I'd like to see some old faces.

Nope. While I respect the authors of the book, I do not like the yuppie / throw $$$$ at things attitude that goes with the Overland Expos.

Maybe it’s the early onset Curmudgeonness coming out in me

Agree. Folks have been camping and exploring with the help of vehicles since vehicles were invented. It is not a new thing though all the aftermarket companies in the US sure think so (including my employer).

Lots of European explorers in Africa after WWII in Land Rovers were some of the original “over landers”
