Multi What's the most unique vehicle you've owned?

@mjn that's pretty cool.
I have a '47 Studebaker Champion that was the first car I bought when I was 15.
Owned it for 35 years.
My plan is to restore it to stock, some day when I have time or money.
Daughter says she's just going to bury me in it, get rid of both of us at the same time.
I also have a '49 Ferguson tractor I use to (small) farm with.

You bring up an interesting idea.
We should start a new thread with a list of all the cars we have owned.
Probably need some rules, no bikes (needs its own thread) (3 wheel cycle car ok), must have been steetable at some time (parts cars don't count), no tractors, probably should allow trucks and buses .
Might be interesting to see what others have been in to.

Not sure if it is unique or not but I built it not bought it. I did own a Willis pickup with a 4 cylinder and 12,000 pound Pto winch 46 years ago but no pictures.

Like many of you, I'm a car nut. Considering I work in the business, that can be a bad thing.. I've made plenty of on the spot purchases on cars we've taken in trade, simply cause I "had to have" them.
Like the '77 911S with 22K one owner miles on it, the custom '89 C10 shortbox, the total count is somewhere north of 40 cars since I was 16. That # would jump drastically if you included motorcyles haha!

But if we're talking about the most unique vehicle? This one would most definitely be it.

My dad bought it for me when I was 7, which means here in a month or so, I'll have owned it 50 years. I keep saying I'm gonna start on it, but the cost to just get the ball rolling is pretty large..

It's a 1947 Crosley roundside pickup. The roundside makes it pretty rare, not all that valuable, but rare for sure.
The idea is to turn it into a mini pro-touring pickup. LS power etc..
The second pic is a rendering a buddy of mine did.. it pretty much captures what I'd like to turn it into.

Oh... and for scale, the wheelbase is 80" (yes, 80 inches) the width is 47" at the door skins.
It's small.

My first vehicle was a 50 model dodge truck when I was 14 , used it for running around the pasture behind our house. Traded it when I was 15 for a 66 Plymouth belvedere with a 318 3 on the tree used 2 quarts of oil every 3 hours of use ! Got me a 66 mustang when I was 16 wish I still had it. My project vehicles are 71 VW truck and a 77 Alfa Romeo spider and a 1980 M151 A2 MUTT . Now to find the time to complete at least 1.

I recently sold a fully restored 1974 Triumph Tiger 750 (bastard shift). I have pics somewhere, I’ll see if I can find them.

Everything else I’ve owned has been pretty non-unique.

All my daily drivers have always been pretty boring. '00 S-10 first vehicle at 16 and then '05 Sierra current daily driver so nothing too fancy. However, after meeting the woman who is now my wife I learned of a couple of unique cars from the former "eastern block" and had to have them. On the right in "papyrus white" is a 1981 Trabant 601-S made in East Germany (DDR) and on the left in orange is a 1983 FSM Polski Fiat 126p . Why are they unique? Never imported or sold in the USA, you know, being made under communism and all we weren't really an open trade partner at the time not to mention the fact they were close to 30 years behind technologically when they were made. Trabant is a 2-cylinder, 2-stoke (50:1 mix), 4-speed on the column, 600cc motor producing all of 26hp. From 1963 to 1989 there were almost no design changes made to the Trabant. Polski is a Polish copy of an Italian Fiat made under license at the time. Also 2 cylinders, but 4-stroke, 650cc rear engine with about 28hp.

Dodge Dreamer-After buying this beauty in Reno Nv. I immediately started a carb rebuild in the middle of the night. I forgot to plug in the fuel line and the next day when I fired it up the fuel shot over the manifold and well you can guess what happened. I sold it the following week to a couple of Australians who send unique vehicles home. I found this pic after it reached their homeland and there is a video out there of it being driven when it got there. My plan was a monster 4x4 but the frame would not accept the modification.

Haha. I had a 1974 TR6 in 1976. Only had 10,000 miles on it when I bought it. In ‘77 we went to Toronto from Halifax. First was Montreal in 10 hours, usually took 14, then to Ottawa 100 miles in 1 hour, then to TO. We cruised at 115 miles an hour and saw lights coming up on us so I put her down to see what she’d do. Four lanes , she was dancing between 135 and 140 miles per hour , top down, everything getting sucked out of the car and the cover over the roof was straight up. Then a Turbo Carrera went by. Wow. I’ll never forget it. Haha
