My 1st car ....... '68 Olds 442 ...... 400 CID, 350 HP, 4 barrel carb, dual exhaust, built in factory 8 TRACK tape player!!!! After down payment my notes were $66/mo for 3yrs!!!

Sweet! My dad had a 68 vista cruiser with the 400, loved that car when I was a kid

This was my first new car... and probably most unique.

1978 Plymouth Arrow gt... Mitsubishi built import for Chrysler. Sold it to my then girlfriend... yeah, she married me anyway!

I had one of these as well, but the Fire Arrow model. Fast and fun to drive.

So this is the most unique vehicle I’ve ever owned back in the late 70’s. This isn’t a picture of mine, but one similar to it. Mine had a nose just like on a small plane.

Crazy fast, no brakes and idled at 40mph. Only had it for 2 years as the only places we could run it was on the Great Lakes when they were froze over and even then the ice / snow had to be just right.

Powered by a 220hp Lycoming engine.

How about cars/trucks you wish like HE!! you never sold?? I've been through somewhere around 40 cars/trucks since I was 14. Here are two I'm still mad at myself for selling...

First is a 1977 Porsche 911S. I bought this car in the mid 90's with 22,000 one owner miles on it. Yes. 22K. Absolutely flawless in every way. I finally gave in and sold it in 2002 to a friend that kept badgering me. If I had it today, it'd be worth twice what I sold it for..

Second is the '72 Blazer. Traded a motorcycle for it in the late 70's, and proceeded to dump a sh!tload of cash into it over the course of the next 6 years. I sold it once, and bought it back once. If I knew where it was, I'd buy it back again. This one would be worth 3 times + what I sold it for... *sigh* Paint job wasn't quite finished in this shot..

Had one of these back in the day, 87 Renault GTA, handled like it was on rails. Had to replace the motor mounts more than the oil, 2.0l engine with 1.7l motor mounts, couldn't handle the um torque I guess.

I already posted a couple of cars I wish I had never sold. I would have included this one, but could not find the pics. Ran across them yesterday. Around 1978, I bought a 68 Shelby GT-500 KR off a guy who had put a huge aftermarket carb on it and washed down the cylinder walls and ruined the motor. He was broke and needed money. I think I paid about 3 thousand for it, and towed it home. It was all original except for the wheels. I had the engine rebuilt for about 2 thousand. I was managing a radio station at the time, and traded out a paint job with a body shop customer. Kept it for about a year, and a guy offered me 15K for it. I sold it and thought I made a helluva deal. Now I realize I was a helluva dumass.

The dealership I worked at when that car came out was a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge, Porsche-Audi-VW, AMC-Jeep-Renault store.. (yea.. lots of product to memorize!)
I remember that car well, & always thought it looked pretty cool.

These weren't exceptionally unique in their day but they're becoming more rare by the day now. It's a 72 Yamaha CS5, 200cc 2-stroke twin. It was the predecessor to the RD200, then the RD350 etc. The RD350 engine ultimately became the Banshee.

I still have this bike, it still runs, and still looks like this, though it's pretty dusty at the moment.

Right on! I have a fair amount of time on an RD200, a 350 (fun, FUN bike!) and an RD400.
I still have my ‘81 Seca 550 that I bought new..

RD350 was a poor choice for a beginners bike, bike is long gone but I still have the parts bike engine in the barn. No idea why I hang on to it but it’s do.

Best: My 1990 HZJ77 Land Cruiser. It is a JDM rig and the only thing that would make it better is if it had an H55 rather than the A440F auto trans

I’ve seen those videos before... The maneuverability is crazy, but like a train, it couldn’t pull more than a 2% grade, lol.
