Helped my neighbor put a new top on his indoor riding arena. We had 8 SxS, ATV and pickups with winches to pull 2,600 pounds of vinyl fabric up and over the metal frame.

They picked a great day- sun in afternoon and no wind- which could have gotten ugly.

Finally wrapped up a lot of little stuff today!

Finished mounting the reverse lights and power block (under passenger seat).

Got the new tires mounted. Got some Sedona Rockabilies. Driving factor was that they’re one of the few (or only) tires rated 8 ply at 8 lbs. I do a lot of rocky trails. Not rock crawling, but lots of trails made of good sized sharp rocks ranging from pebbles to about a foot in size.

One of many great things about this area of Montana is the tradition of putting useful items you’re throwing out on the side of the trash containers at the transfer station. I grabbed a like-new aluminum pickup extender that folds down on the tailgate. I knew there was a purpose. Maybe a front bumper on my P5? It did not fit.

I have a rear Dusty Dawgs rack on my P5, but my hunting partner does not and we strap our bow cases and packs on the back.

If fits perfectly, he’s picking up U bolts to attach it to the factory rack.

Picture from today.

Saturday, October 1 - I took my brother in law to the 25th running of the 10 hour Petit le Mans race at Road Atlanta at Braselton GA. Road Atlanta is a 2.54 mile road course with 12 turns over natural terrain. The Petit has 5 classes of cars on the track at the same time that makes for a very exciting race. Entries and overall finishes of the First in class winners

Sunday October 2, my brother in law took me to Talladega for the Yellawood 500. The P-5 didn't make the trip to Talladega but it was a great weekend of racing.

I'm sure you had it overloaded, done that to mine a couple of times. I'm likely going to do the same things again this weekend. I need to haul a bunch of bags of cement to the rear of my house. I think I figured 62 bags that weight 60 pounds each. That is easily 8-9 trips as I have to go through the ravine, across a small stream bed and up a hill. I don't really want to put more that 500 pounds in the bed at a time.

I had 450 pounds of water softener salt in the bed last month along with a couple of loads of mulch and rock. At least I can prove to my wife it was a good investment for my health and wellbeing. :)

I prefer to use a utility trailer for that stuff. Don't have to lift it as high.
