Looks great! Good job on the install. How do u keep your rig showroom clean? What are you using?
I gave up on showroom clean after I dragged the driver side of my 1000 through Stoney Lonesome in Alabama.

That aint no $hit! I have more scratches than Carter has Liver pills!
I knew it was over when my drivers side flopped in that ditch and the door was pushing in on my leg. 30 yards in reverse dragging the whole way. 😭

Buy programing software for your make of radio.
For me, I now understand how to use and program my TYT 8600 radio 100%
Make sure you get the correct cable.
Great people too.
RT Systems Program Software
I bought the software and cord, as well as another matching radio. I'm going to do some research on the whole channel thing soon. 👍

Give them a call, RT systems, they'll walk you through everything.
One other critical understanding is that by law - FCC, there is a graduated license requirement for each frequency you broadcast.
The FRS, GMRS, MURS license with no test (google) can be had for $35.00.
Short answer - Outside of those frequencies requires a basic Ham radio, technician license.
Do some research into GMRS frequencies.
Sorry, it's a broad and detailed understanding.
Try this read. Good general info.
Very cool once you get over the curve.

Pleased or not? I would like some just to keep crap from getting in my floor board rear. Just hard to justify that amount for plastic. I purchased some abs sheets going to try my hand at making some minor flaps.

I thought the same. I'm handy with tools, I'll just make them myself. I didn't. Too many other things to do. Ordered them. They look well made. Haven't installed them yet. Too many other things to do. :) But, I'll get on it soon . . . and sooner than if I had to make them myself.

I said the same thing about a roof. At the time a honda roof was about $800 and the thin sheet metal ones were about $550. I ended up making my own roof out of plywood for about a quarter of the cost of a honda roof. I couldn't justify spending $550 for a thin piece of sheet metal either. Eventually I'll build my own metal roof but until then this will work for me.

Will do. I took a quick peak at the program and started to scratch my head... thanks for the link, I'll start looking into it this week/weekend. 👍 So is GMRS the way to go then?

I have them on mine. They stop 95% of the mud. The hole around the rops lets some mud get on the rear seat belt mechanism at higher speeds. I'm pleased with them.

Yes
Most walkie talkies come with FRS at least and some GMRS Frequencies already. GMRS with license is greater range broadcast frequency.
