Stinking creek road was still solid ice yesterday. All 17 miles of it. This was the most dangers part of my ride yesterday lol

Not sure if it's been mentioned but it's an old trick that the goldfish will eat the algae and keep the tank clean. They also keep skeeters from growing in there. I tried it one year but had to pull them out when winter came and the tank started freezing. They lived and grew just fine in the pond after that.

It's hit and miss. I'd say on average every 2 or 3 years you will have a good freeze. We had like 20 something days below freezing in the early 2000s. These falls looks like a whole different world that year. Local new said this is the longest period of snow on the ground in the valley since 1908. It lasted 10 days. Yesterday the warm rain took care of that.

I'm already over the snow. 1 good one a year is all I hope for lol. Got 4 good days of riding in it.
Now it's raining for 2 days straight. With the melting snow and rain its gonna flood everything now.

Almost the same here. Had a cold snap and dumped on us. Lotsa rain down in valley at home to make a sloppy mess but snowing up in the hills. About 5-6 ft deep up top which keeps me on plowed roads without tracks. We need the snowpack every year or else we are in a drought situation. Very hot and dry here in the summer and the lakes were very low last fall.
