P1000m5 Royal Blue to windrock and BACK! 2016

Thus far all of my exploring GPS tracks between Royal Blue, Brimstone, and Windrock have been right on and I trust them to get me anywhere and back home. I essentially live right in the middle of all three areas from a trail riding perspective.

Scouted more today. Started at Grays Gap @ Hwy 116. G1 Ends and G50 starts. Took route in the following order G50, T50, T52, T53, G55, T61, T62, T66, G66 to Caryville flats. Time was approximately 2 Hours. If I started at Windrock parking lot you can add 1 hour.

If you want epic I found that too! Trail 54a. Connecting trail to T57 "Rat Trap"

Break out the shackle blocks and winch cable!

I do plan on backtracking since I live there. But if others need me to haul sxsx back can arrange that too.

I believe we can go from RB to Windrock and back in about 10-12 hours.

There is a ton of trails going Northwest from Windrock to Brimstone then back East to my house. If everyone still wants a 2 full day trail ride we could always explore out that way then work ouright way back to Royal Blue, there is a few points of interest out there, the eternal flame, then north of my house the hole in the earth, just a big strip pit like in Evarts KY. Nothing special, except the partiers on weekends, them drunk girls get honery up there.

The trails Northwest of Windrock is lots and lots of gravel to get on top of the mountain. I only know of 1 good track that's not gravel. I'm in for what every you guys want.

Thanks for the insight, I imagine we would like as much normal trails as possible vs. gravel roads. We hit some roads to cover a lot of area quickly. Running them only a person could get back to exit 141 in less than an hour. We did 65 miles today (in only 4.5 hours) 27.5 miles to get to Windrock using as much trail system as possible then another 40 miles just getting an idea of what was around the northern border of Windrock as we headed back north.

New guy here - we have family property near these areas so I would like to explore these trails one day. Does the Pilots width limit you on any of these trails? do any Tenn trail systems enforce a 50" rule? Thanks

Welcome to the club. Most trail systems in East TN do not.
