Ok wife wanted to go for a ride this afternoon, found 2 more ways to Windrock from my place. We found two kick ass technical trails, the Eternal Flame that is west half way to Brimstone circled around found the windmills again from another mountain, as well as 2 other places to get food or gas in the boonies.

Even found a creek bed for @scott to try.

Which trails did you use today? I deer hunt north-northwest of Bootjack Mountain and see the Windmills from my tree stands but it's 20 miles to the base of the windmills from there. Are you paralleling Hwy 63 to get to brimstone? I know how to get to Hwy 63 from Moores Camp but not RB.

You might want to see the area first! Its mountain goat country! Big Deer however! Best time to hunt here is week before Thanksgiving. Rifle starts Saturday before Thanksgiving. Have to go scouting this weekend. Last year was poor hunting in the high country because the lack of acorns. This year seems better- more nuts. Not bow hunting this year because I can't draw my bow.

I hunt about 4 miles from the nearest gravel road. And 16 miles from the nearest paved road. They do allow crossbows, but I don't want to eat my words from years ago. I am building my body back up from open heart surgery. Sucks when they crack you open like crab legs.

Depending on Jackels route to Windrock we may traveling very close to my hunting "honey hole". He's getting close when he's talking brimstone and windmills. The big problem he's facing is lots of gravel roads. We need to pack up and visit Cummins Pusher.

Hey guy I'm buying a new trailer this week what y'all think 6x12 or 6.5x14? I'm thinking the 14' because I could put a atv on there with my SxS. But with the 14' I'm thinking I'll have to move the SxS back a little.

14' min. 16' ideal. My 2 cents!

I thought about a 16 dual but decided against it. I don't want just one big trailer. I'll buy a 16' next tho. Probably a 18' or 20'. But I have to get a truck before all of that.

My 6x 10 can barely hold the P1K. I think it's easy to pull on a dual.

Our trailer is 16 ft shown here with a quad and two bikes in between. Little tight like that but not bad.

Lots of hunting and riding here buddy. Elk moose bear wolves and cat. They've been paying people on the wolves again. Do have access to lots of private land. Race tracks aren't as good though.

It's been '08 since I when to CO and WY. Loved it. Went Elk Hunting at 10000 Ft. Bow Hunting at that. My first love was hunting before the wife and kids came along. People from the East have no clue on the size of this country until you really get out where you go every week.
