No, it's a light truck tire. They do make dot radials specifically for utv in a 12"
Thanks man, @Tflynn just posted up some very nice looking ones above. It says they are DOT. Eight ply too! Do you see any issue with those?

That's a good looking tire. I bet it wouldn't even be too awful loud on the blacktop.
They're very similar to Kanati Mongrels but at a far more reasonable price. As soon as my wife sees the light and realizes how great having a winter and summer set of wheels/tires is, I'm getting these

It would be really smart to run summer tire. It took my wife till just now to agree. Our tires are crap on the 1000 already. There is no need to be running a mud tire in dry summer that's waisting money and giving a garage ride.

Great idea. Tell mama it's ok, you have the forums support in this matter.

Ok, the dude said he could make it to the old specs at 7' and still give it two doors. I traded the spare tire and mount for a rear receiver hitch. That's where I'll carry two or three jerry cans. The box is 42" wide and the overall width is 60", inside cabin height is 41", total height of the trailer is 63", well below the roof of the Pioneer and the total length is just 9'6".

Ok, I think I'm confused. I just looked up the pioneer specs and it says the 500, 700 and 1000-3 all have 12" steel OEM wheels. Why couldn't I then buy these tires @Tflynn posted for the 700 and then put them on the 1000 if I decided to go that route???

If you're thinking of the standard 1000 then you could use tires but not wheels

You absolutely could use the tires. Just keep your stock 700 wheels in case you get a 1000 then you can swap tires

Looking thru the past post,584,591,613 in particular it looks like the 500 might not be a good fit for this trip, which I have to deep down in inside agree,so therefore I am withdrawing from this trip of a lifetime,I hope there are no hard feelings, there are none here at all ,I just don't want to feel I have to go out and buy a bigger machine than what I need at this time,Thanks mopar for giving me the opportunity to participate but I won't be making the ride,I consider you all good friends and will be watching your ride and post closely
Thanks again,
