I am a puddle jumper :)

I don't jump mine either , I am just looking for a nice suspension for the trails. I hate the fact that I need to slow way down , when I see a dip or bump up ahead !
Just saying, I wasn't going out and intentionally trying to jump when I put the Fox shocks on but here's what happened to me- first you realize you don't have to Damn near stop at every dip and bump in the road, after awhile you begin to trust your setup can handle most anything, then one day as you're cruising along you hit a bump that's a little bigger than all the previous ones and it sends you airborne. Then you land so smoothly and effortlessly with smile that refuses to leave your face and you wonder why you shouldn't do that again?

Lol.........I can see the temptation in doing that. I just hope I don't get to comfortable with the new suspension and do something stupid !

the lack of power limits how crazy you can get but the fun factor is off the charts

I went out to the garage and took some measurement's.

I took the measurements with the sxs jacked up off of the floor and the suspension hanging from the stock shocks (fully extended ).I also have 1.00" SPACERS on the rear !

My thoughts are , that this is still very doable. There is no doubt ,the new shock mount will be hanging out past the end of the top A-arm by about 1.00".

Like I said , "this is very doable" but not without using 1.00" spacers !!!

As soon as the new shock mounts come in ,I will start fitting them and post some pics of what I come up with !

@Chooglin i dont think using the stock uppers in the rear and moving the lowers out you will have room for shock compression remember its going to move out and up the shock will hit the frame

When a suspension is compressed , there is very little movement of the shock/spring in the way you are thinking.

The majority of the movement is in the spring/shock being compressed. There is very little movement upward or outward.
The shock will bottom out ,long before it hits the frame !

Watch this video and you will see what I am talking about !

I knew yours was done. But there's sometimes an easier or cheaper way. One guy does something and helps others to build off of it. By the time I get a 500...you guys will have it cheap and easy for me.

The new shock mounts came today and they won't work (to short). so I started making my own mounts

This is the prototype
20161029 174608

The rest of the pics show you how they will mount. There is plenty of clearance and nothing will hit or rub !

I will be having these made by the same guy doing the glove boxes !

If there is enough interest in these , I could offer them for sale !

I will take a picture tomorrow that should convince you that it is impossible for it to hit the frame.......... as I said before "the shock will bottom out long before it hits the frame"
I'd be a buyer....Choo
