I think he wanted to weld additional lower shocks mounts a bit lower OEM , but I doubt there is a space for them.

you cut your lower shock mount off flush and then reuse them just flip 180° and reweld just put the new top where the old lower was lol make sence

As @solrus mentioned , I am hoping to keep the original mounts intact and weld one next to it..........my plan is to strap the two together...........we shall see though !

that will work on the fronts no prob but on the rears you will run into a clearance issue
