I think the pair I have may be as strong but, they don't fold, and I really like that. And I'm in NM at the moment and we decided to load the P5 in the bed of the truck and go down the road a couple miles to the Kit Carson NF and ride. Only problem..........my ramps are in OK. I brought the P5 out last on my 20' HD trailer. Where'd you get them from? I believe I'll get them so that I have a pair in both places. I like the close rungs/smooth ride feature too!
Ebay...Titan ramps and Manufacturing.
Like everything, researched the hell out of it, best deal I found for what you're getting.

Yeah, I saw that, bad ass! Still doesn't look like you could close the gate though?
Guess you could take it off when trailering. Very cool. :)
Take it off
or deflate my
tires...

I have a Ram 1500 with the short bed and I use a 4x8 3/4" plywood under it too distribute the weight better. I have hauled it over 600 miles of frost heaved Alaskan roads and wash boarded gravel this summer with no issues as long as you slow down over the bad sections. Hope this helps.

How long are your ramps fishbum?
They are the YuTrax trifold a from Cabalas 50"W69 1/4"L according to the specs. I wish they were longer but they work and I already owned them from a previous atv/truck. I'm not sure if they would work with factory tires I'm pretty close to rubbing as I go up. I'm running Bighorn 2.0's 26"X11"x12"'s on all four corners.

man... you have the longer of the short bed options... Mine is the 5'7"

Thanks for showing those pics. Seeing that pretty much seals the deal for me. my back tires wouldn't even be on the tailgate. and I really don't want to take off the tailgate to use one of those carriers that hang on the hitch. Looks like I won't be hauling the P5 in my truck. dang it good thing I have the trailer I guess.

Wait, I thought you shopped for a truck that you'd be able to haul the P5 in??? Or did I miss something?

Lol. Yeah that was part of it... The good deal was on this truck though. And I assumed it was the longer of the short beds. Somehow I missed that it was the shorter one till after I had the truck home. I'm still happy with the truck and it pulls a trailer much much better than my old car.

I usually use my trailer for the P500 so I have room in the truck for rafts and other gear but there are a couple spots I go where turning a trailer around is almost impossible so it's nice to have the option.

I really want to replace my 12' open bed trailer with a 16' enclosed but i can't afford it right now. Ummm to many toys too little cash.

LMAO! Giving you the benefit of a doubt, I think you knew it was the short bed
but got it anyway because it was a great deal. ;)

The P500 will fit in a 5'7" bed as long as you take off the front bumper, the rear tires will sit right at the edge of the tailgate. I know because I had to do it a couple weeks ago when we had bearings go bad on our trailer. We hauled it that way for about 100 miles through central Idaho with no issues at all.

Thank you for that!

Problem is, I have a winch installed with a kfi mount. So it would be a little more work to remove the bumper, but good to know I could do it if possible! Thanks for the tip!

Yep, that's what I was thinking. But check this out, if you'll buy a sheet of 5/4 plywood, cut it for the wheel wells and slide it in, with the tailgate down, you can carry the P5 in the bed of your truck, it will support it.

Loaded her up on the modded Iron Man for the first time today. After building some ramps to go over the wheel wells, looked like I had enough room without them after I loaded it. So I took them out and it squeezed through with minimal rubbing. I like it!View attachment 22164 View attachment 22166
s*** dude, you got it! Again, I like your yard!!!

Looks awesome Trigger! What is the tow rating of the hitch now? Was thinking of a similar deal only welding two 2" receivers on my existing class V hitch, then making a similar assembly to carry P5 rear wheels and leave tailgate off. My ramps are similar only narrower when folded they ride between the P5 wheels I've made chaulks (sp?) that hold them in place on the plywood that spreads weight over tailgate and truck box floor.
