Started truck shopping this week. I originally started looking at the F-150 3.5 EB. After pricing a few of them , I quickly realized I could get me a low end F-250 for the same $ or less and have alot more truck for towing.

My 2014 5.0 did the job , but it was maxed out on its tow capacity. I was actually dreading the trip down to Takeover towing with this truck again.

Anyway , bought me a 2019 F-250 6.2 gasser and I can't wait to hook up the toy hauler and drag it down the road with this thing. I will be so much more relaxed knowing this truck won't break a sweat pulling the camper. No need to worry about added wait when I go camping now........I am going to load her up!!!!!

Try a few things for me @JTW to disable the A/S/S.
When the truck senses a trailer is hooked up, it disables the a/s/s. Try pluging a 7-4 adapter into the bumper. See how the truck responds to that.
Truck also will not shut off if one of the power points in the cab is in use. Shove an iphone charger into the back of the center console and see if that draw is enough to stop the a/s/s. You may be better off using an old laptop charger, they will tend to draw more while idle.

Power points aren’t true. Mine shuts off all the time with the power point plugged into my phone or iPad. I hear the chime when it starts back up and power flows back to iPhone.

I had my laptop plugged into the back of the console and it disabled the start/stop.

Our Toyota Highlander has a button on the dash to disable the start/ stop mode , but it has to be pressed every time you start the vehicle.

Another reason to drive a diesel! Right @CumminsPusher ? Plus, we’re f***tards, not libtards;)

Yea, my Ford Diesel has a button on the dash and when you press it the exhaust brake is activated, another button you press is called hill descent. The only button is does not have is one that tells the wife to shut the hell up.

I've heard if you lightly apply the brake pedal at a stop it wont shut off the engine.

Cant personally confirm it though.
