Lol. Yeah...@Mopower58 beat me to the explanation. I was on a complicated job all day and couldn’t get beck on till I got off work. If I’m pissed I won’t post it on here. Lol. Too much out of context when typing or posting.
LOL...WelI, when i make status level pissed, remember the "ignore user" option.

I was never a “ford guy” until the Atlas concept truck. I had an 02 explorer in college and really liked it. I liked my 07 ram I had.. minor bulls*** stuff like wheel bearings and water pumps but it was a good truck for 170k and 7 years... except for the rust issue that was just starting. They gave me 10k and I gave 14,500 for it used in 08... that’s hard to beat!! I think I’m really going to like this new truck.. but the f150’s have been in a different league than anything I’ve ever bought before. They’ve been new, loaded and impressive with the eb. I also, like aluminum. Sure it can be quirky but there’s a lot to be said for any chips and nicks not rusting... But time will tell. Mom and Dad just bought a new explorer sport a couple weeks ago and they have already said how much they initially like it. Again, time will tell!
...and see, that's what makes peoples experiences so odd to read. The Daimler era stuff was bad. Not necessarily the design, but the parts they used. Cost cutting by zee Germans.
And a yj Wrangler was one of the most durable vehicles I've ever had.

Yup... I have noticed the stereo in the new truck is some other brand I’ve never heard of. B&O?? It was a Sony in the 15... and also, they replaced the rear seat latch handles with pull straps. I’m sure that was a cost thing. But it’s not quite as “nice”...

I think it’s regular... ingot silver is what it’s called. I really like the look of it. It’s actually better than I had in my mind it was going to be. It’s been raining since I brought it home so I haven’t really had a chance to inspect it.

That’s why I lost my job at Roush. I was on the 98% Ford end but we did some Chrysler stuff. When that happened there was a large lay off. I was later and it was a week before I got married. They pulled a lot out the Detroit suppler market. I was a mechanic on Ford Heavy truck. We did some development for Chrysler at the time. The CEO was a Ford guy that had it before Daimler. That’s how we got so much work.

Your sticker at the top will say tri coat after the color if it is. It’s about 1,200$ extra. The pearl white and candy Apple red is a tri coat I know.

I don’t think so... I had gone back and forth on the pearl white... and partially decided against it because of the tri coat and painting the topper myself. I’m glad I went this route now.

They look good but your right, not good to paint yourself. I don’t get it in my Platinum

My next truck will be a 3500 crew long box. No duals at this point. What ever manufacture gets me a brown one the fastest will get my money. I want brown!
