I have sync 2 in my 15’ Platinum and it sucks monkey balls. It’s not horribly bad better than 1. There’s a company that does a conversion to sync 3 with the maps it’s 2k without and you can use Apple play it’s 1,200 still a lot of bones.
Do some googling around. I think most F150 or super duty forums will have a shopping list how to do it yourself. You will need forscan, a windows laptop and a OBD dongle to make the changes though.

Sounds like a good project for me to check out. Thanks

Did you do a strip on the windshield? or entire thing?
Neither @JTW or I has the sunroof, so we don't need to go as dark. I found 35 matched factory pretty damn good. The entire windhshield is nice. Don't really need sunglasses unless driving into the sun on a bright day.

Entire windshield.

Kind of nice isn't it? I don't mind driving at night. It isn't as bad as one would think.

I’ve been doing my whole windshield since I was 18. I used to do limo sides and 20 on windshield. I use 50% on windshield now. Getting older and smarter I guess.

This is my first vehicle with windshield tint. I am a convert. I'll be doing my wife's car when budget allows as well.

Yeah, don't be too upset over the navigation. I paid extra to get the navigation and it's crap.
You can't do squat with it unless you pull over and put the truck in park.
It can't calculate the time it take to get from point A to point B even after I've been there a couple of times.
It chooses the worst routes
The updated maps are $159, and if you don't buy the new maps the entire system shuts down

I use my phone or Garmin instead.
Well, that’s partly the reason it doesn’t have it. My other one did and I didn’t use it often for reasons like you say. But I changed my mind and they were supposed to add it. And didn’t.

It has no miles on it and it sat idling

You hear that fellas? Almost 14 mpg at idle with ZERO miles on it.

I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN THIS NEW FORD TECHNOLOGY. THAT'S SOME ANCIENT ALIENS S#!&.

I do legal limit on sides here then get the clear UV blocking on the windshield, it reduces the heat in the summer and takes "some glare" off but get the GOOD stuff or polarized sunglasses reveal the imperfections.

Return it. You got 3 days to change your mind. The beautiful part about on board GPS at least with mine is it tells you what lane to be in across the dash when your hitting a major city during rush hour with a 30' trailer behind you. I wouldn't go without.

@JTW
Nice looking truck. I think you’ll enjoy it. The leveling kit will make it look even better. One of the first things I did to my F350.

+1

In all seriousness, if you aren't yet decided on a tire with that level, might I suggest the Cooper AT3 XLT in 285/75r17.

Good looker, aggressive tread but every bit as quiet as stock. Fill up the wheel well on a level nicely, 10 ply and my 5.0 does 19-20mpg on the road with them depending on weather/wind (far cry from the 15-17 with my old 315/70 Cooper discoverers).

Pops like them so much he bought a set for his f350.
