Lets talk Radios again... Pioneer takeover!

Windrock emailed the latest file yesterday. I need to take my laptop out and reprogram my radio, hoping I will be able to read it!

Really easy to do!
1. Read the word doc.
2 I saved the updated icf file to desktop.
3.Ran the exe file.
4 Hook up radio to laptop
5 Hold PPT down and power radio up. Screen on radio will be blank
6 In the file name on the new program- browse desktop and find the upgrades icf file you saved to desktop
7 Hit write on program. It takes a few minutes to upload. Then radio will go back to normal mode when done. If it’s done correctly it will display menu on lower right side of screen.

So this is a firmware update? The frequency upload will not be affected correct?

You only need to update if yours show Chinese in the bottom left after turning on and selecting English .
I did not have to update mine

right under where the ignition key is - I don't think my knee will interfere with it. I have too much on top rollbar already.

Thought about that spot, don't think mines rated to be underwater though.

I can see where that would be a concern of yours While mine is supposedly WP I hope not to test it by submerging it. I did spray off with the power washer this weekend and it still turned on

I got a TYT TH8600.

What mounts did you use to mount it on your roll bar?

Mine is under the ignition key as well. I will say I moved my hand mic after my first ride. It’s on a retractable tether from the rear view mirror now.

Mounted mine in the bottom storage hole. Mic hanging from mirror as well on a retractable lanyard.
