My 5th wheel trailer calls for repacking wheel bearings ever 5000 miles. I try to do maintenance all my trailers. I carry a complete loaded brake hub(will work on non brake axle also) when i travel. I also carry a cheap HF temp gun, walk around and shoot tire and wheel bearig temps every stop. Doesn't have to be accurate just to compair temps.
It SUCKS to have to do repairs on the side of the road.
