Looks like she got dropped.
That's what I'm thinking! But whoever did it dropped it and then bagged it! So I'm either going to have to go through the trouble of sending them back...if they take them...or ordering a part from fox and replacing it myself

What would you do?

I would maybe ask for a discount or something from who I bought it from but it just looks like cosmetic damage from what I can tell. Mine would get scratched and beat up anyways so I would install. I would be upset that they were not "brand new quality" when received though. I understand your frustration...

Same here, if it's cosmetic Let them know to see if they help out any. If they say send them back and it's too much of a mess to deal with, forget about it and them put them on.

That sucks to get something new damaged. I agree with everyone else try to get some discount.
They will have plenty of rock chips and dents soon. I almost felt bad when I saw how pretty the shocks are just knowing what I'd be doing to them shortly

Oh s***! How does that happen?? There will be a parts breakdown and you can order directly from Honda. Probably a little slow to come being so new.
That right there needs attention from the seller!!! Ding is one thing but that is another. How the hell does that happen?!?!

Not sure! It appears to be plastic! Will confirm in a bit. Left bday party almost home.

It is because it's just a spacer to let the nut slide smoother against the spring and help to cushion against rust. It's truly not an important piece most shocks I've had don't have it but it came on the shocks so it should be there. I just don't understand how that got hit so hard

Its just the buffer ring. You may just call Fox up if Honda doesn't have it in stock. Spring compressors and 5 mins and you can replace it. Sorry for your misfortune. Don't worry about the scratching- the first time you put a spanner wrench on it it's going to look a lot worse. Done done it.

Did you get these from Ebay? If so I bet he will send you a new shock or a whole new set. That's the pros of Ebay and Paypal

PayPal is shown as much safer. You are also 100% protected against unauthorized purchases. I personally hate not using it.
