2019 HP1K5 Upgrading to Arched A-Arms

Hello all, I’m looking for information about upgrading my Stock Pioneer 1000-5 a-arms.
I’m looking at the SuperATV Atlas Pro 1.5” offset arms, or the SuperATV High Clearance 1.5” arched a-arms.
They look to be very similar. What are the differences between the two? Are they compatible with the stock axles? Their website says Rhino 2.0’s are needed.
I’m not looking to add portals or bigger than 30” tires at this time, but would like to have more clearance than the stock a-arms and 28” tires.
*I will need to be able to still fit it in my camper, so I’m not opposed to modifying the cage*

We have the HC 1.5" arms on our P1K3 with 30" Terrabites, still have the stock axles, no issues. It fits in/out of my garage door at 7' but it's close. I'd get a measurement for you but it's currently on tracks for the winter.

I did the 30 inch tires, shocks and the SATV a arms. I would do the tires / wheels and shocks again but the a-arms I don't know. The Honda stock a-arms have the best a-arm bushings I've seen. There isolated in rubber which takes some shock away from the mounts. I don't believe there removable. I've got my 3rd set of a-arm bushings coming with under 5,000 miles on Rooster. P1-5. Have fun.

I'm pretty sure the Atlas are built a bit more beefier but I've never had an issue with my SATV arms. Been running stock axles since also.

I did some more research on the subject, the HC arms are 1.25” tube and the atlas pro’s are 1.5” tube. Other than that, they’re almost the same. For my type of riding, mostly trails, the annual Tennessee trip and light mud, I’m sure the high clearance a-arms will do just fine.

If you go big with arms and lift, you can always use loading wheels if you don't mind the hassle. You can pretty much fit whatever into the toy haulers with these.

Yes, I’m with you there. I’d explore all of the inexpensive solutions first.

I would think changing out your wheels for every load/unload would get old real fast. I don't have an enclosed trailer yet, but I wonder how many are built tall enough for my P1K5 with 30s.

I had a 30' Neo NASR model with the "Extra Height Package", it made the rear door opening 85" and the interior 90" tall, our P1K3 on 30's would fit with a couple inches to spare. I sold it a couple months ago because it was really a snowmobile trailer and at 7' wide it was a bear to get in/out of the buggies to load/unload.

My enclosed trailer is a "+6" height and it fit fine, even better with the cage chopped.

Stock axles are fine with our A-arms. We highly recommend the Rhino 2.0's if your running forward arms AND a bracket lift, but without the bracket lift you're fine on those axles. You can run up to a 31" with those arms. Maybe even a 32" that runs short...and maybe a little crank in shock preload.

I’d be looking into going to a 30” tire. I removed the bracket lift to have better ride quality and upgraded my shocks.

Bracket lifts should be banned on the P1K5.

When I bought mine used, the previous owner installed one (and I had never driven another machine to know the difference) so I drove around the first year in a Fred Flintstone ride. It was horribly bad.

I feel like it rode like a tank with the bracket lift installed. Which was fine when I was using it for mudding, but now that we use it more for mountain trails, riding with the kids, my wife wants a more cushy ride.
We can’t afford a talon just yet. lol.

Mine still fits under a 7’door. You will really only gain 1” of height at the roof
