Many German and Italian prisoners were sent to Fort Reno Oklahoma, not too far from where I live. It was an old Calvary post and used as a Pow camp during WWII. It is an interesting tour, and has a cemetery of German and Italian prisoners who died while living there. They were well treated and some even returned after the war and became american citizens.
My father and uncles told me a little about that, but I appreciate your input and the article. Very interesting
