Do you really want me to tell you about how I feel about diesels, pure sh**!
It was a ferd dude. A lot of people went thru what you did. When I went truck shopping I drove them all and really liked the ferd. But I knew better than to take my chances.

If some one gave me a diesel, I would have them drive it or have towed to a dealership to be a trade in on a gas rig, I've had it with diesels. And that's all I've got to say that! Diesels SUCK! Big time!
Please expand on your rant. Most people have zero issues. A recent trip across the USA and back saved me 200 gallons of fuel my first diesel and I'm sold. But I was skeptical for sure.

I’ve had a diesel since 2002. Some have had issues but my gas rigs have too. From what I’ve seen and experienced, if you can afford the initial purchase it’s a much better vehicle.

Please expand on your rant. Most people have zero issues. A recent trip across the USA and back saved me 200 gallons of fuel my first diesel and I'm sold. But I was skeptical for sure.
Well I pushed mine off the highway more than once, by hand. Never pushed a gas rig that wasn't out of gas off the highway. I've just had bad experiences with diesels, freezing my a off on the side of the road changing filters . No more diesels for me!

Initial purchase isn't the issue, the up keep is steep and repairs are very expensive. If you are going to pull ALOT than they may be the way to go but? I've owned 2 for a total of 10 years, that was enough, an International and a Nissan turbo straight 6, I've been stranded by both, I'm done! If I'm going to drive a diesel I'll get a Yanmar trac hoe. HA!

Yes, Dove Gray, bad a in the woods, sucked on the hi way , I named it Teddy Roosevelt rough rider, you could close your eyes and feel the painted lines on the hi way if you crossed them. HA!

Wish I'd kept it and dropped a GM 350 into it. The Nissan turbo straight 6 was used for industrial fork trucks and tuna boats, really!

Yup. And those trucks fetch a pretty penny. I think that motor had all of 145hp and usually had an auto behind it. Have a friend that has one with the very rare T19 4 speed manual.

Moter sucked, but the Scout part was tough. I've still got OEM emblems that I bought when they discontinued Scouts. My father in law owned a International dear ship.

0-50MPH could be measured in one week on a calendar.

0-70 was impossible unless you drove off a cliff.

If I still had it, don't know what I'd do with it, it was terrible to drive on the hi way, the gutless wonder.
That's the way I felt about the Ford inline 6. I had a 95' 4wd xl. Reg cab auto. Could not pull o.d. at all unless 85mph. All I ever heard was "i6" lol gutless

@Smitty335 hard to hate on diesels when you are comparing to an early 80’s model. You realize that was almost 40 years ago right. The gas vehicles back then weren’t as great as they are either now. Haha.
