I'd be worried about having them pointing down toward the skid plate. A whack to the plate in just the right place and one of those could break off.
True. However, since the through bolt has o-ring seals, would it be possible to slightly loosen that, then rotate the valve body down for draining, then up out of the way for more clearance when done?

I haven't done an oil change yet, so I'm not conversant with all this yet. However, if there's a more easy and less messy method, I'd like to get the parts before I service it.

Good concern, we have them on several pieces of heavy equipment that drag the skid plates (belly pan) under normal operation, with no issue... knock on... they are all up inside the pans. I think our Komatsu come standard with them, I could be wrong and we put them on.

Fumoto drain valve


I'm going to see if I can find and fit these to my buggy.
Just put them on my diesels and they make oil changes the cat's meow.
I know, skid plate... angle, but we'll see.
Anyone else try these.
I've used those for many years on my trucks, but until I do my first oil change on the P1K5 and see the location, angle, exposure, etc., I'm not sure if I will run one on an off road machine that is far more susceptible to having sticks and other things jammed up that way.

Just pull the skidplate and no mess. I wouldn't think it would be worth the chance of a trail failure. Break it off and your dead in the water or worse if nobody behind you to see it leaking before your engine locks up. 🤷‍♂️

Added -
Blue Sea dual USB Quick Charger.
And it actually charges fast.
It has quick charge circuitry that recognizes the device connected to it. 4.8 amp / 5 volt.
It's powered by a keyed on add a circuit, connected to a 10 amp fuse in the OEM fuse box.
Very simple install and works great.
Highly recommend the Blue Sea charger.

I bought a Bestek inverter you plug in the cig lighter, Azon, 20 bucks, but it just doesn't charge quickly enough.

I installed my Cec enclosure I bought. Took all my nets off first. Now I am just sealing up the door gaps somewhat. Once I get that done I’ll post some pics as I am really happy how the rear door gaps sealed up.
On the rear panel: The two outside straps (thin) - did you get yours to fit *outside* of the two roof clamps?

I installed my enclosure this evening. Everything went reasonably fine except for the very last strap on one side of that rear panel. The panel is centered and the strap on one end is fine, but I can't for the life of me get the other one to go around the OEM roof clamp on the other side. And unless I missed something, those Honda roof OEM clams do not move side to side.
