For the past few days, been making modifications/repairs. Removed TC bumper and put about a dozen 'slits' in it to allow better air flow. Attempted getting to the fan to replace with Spal fan, but gave up on that ..... lol. Attempting to somewhat straighten the passenger side outside tube before adding 2"x 1/4 angle iron between tube and skidplate for more strength. Adding a 5.2" Spal fan under seat to assit with cooling.

Seemed if going to only 28s, could have stayed with 14 or 12 wheels and had better ride, rather than bigger 15 wheels.
Depends as much on tire ply rating and air pressure as anything else. I think the talon tires at 10-12 psi would ride pretty good and be at least as durable as the stock big horns

So, you have 28s on 15s ....... is that right? What is the advantage there?
I was able to get 4 Matching new tires and rims for what I could sell the stock bighorns for.
My P1000-5 is a 2016. To upgrade wheels and tires For no out of pocket cost was a big plus.
I really liked the look and I’ve had less skid plate dragging on The trails I drive regularly.

Don’t care for any of the bed extender options on the market...(price, weight, design) so I dusted off my tig skills and starting goobering together a light weight but strong bed extender that bolts to the existing door frame.

I’m going to paint it black. Weight is around 10 lbs. I’m going to use the dragon fire tire mount over the milk crate. I also have room behind the seat for a 2.5gallon older blitz fuel can I have.

It’s made out of 1” 1/8 wall tubing.

Last year I made the plunge into the 4-point harness world with a bcf bar and I cheapoed on the harnesses with flea bay cheapies and added pads too...big mistake, while functional they suck and are uncomfortable. They are also hard to adjust for other riders. Constantly adjusting.

Today UPS Santa dropped off the ones I should have bought the first time.

Here’s the final product. Got to remount my fire ext. but I’m happy with how it looks. Fuel can fits behind my milk crate and still room behind cooler for 2 tri leg chairs I have.

Thats pretty dang sweet!! Nice job!
How do you like that tire mount? Is it pretty steady on the trails?

Dunno, I haven’t given it the 45 mph sneak across the trails yet. 😎

Literally bolted it on before the picture. Others on the forum have it. It seems sturdy enough.

Oddly I ordered 1 of them and the UPS Santa delivered a single case of 5 of them...

I typically have no need for the extender or the spare but for a few times a year. Both the extender and the spare mount can be removed in 10 mins.
