We'e had the thunder storms move through about 3:00 AM, temps were in the mid 40's, temps now are mid 20's. Snowing, we're in that two hour window to see if ice forms on the roadways. Looks like we won't be above freezing for the highs until next week. We're going into hunker down mode, bird feeders are full, got fire wood, propane and groceries.

If I remember correctly they organized plows to lead buses but still, as you said they now cancel school if the 7 day forecast has snow in it.

Thank god for a buddy with a heated garage and a lift. Also thank for Chevy for a bad design and having a TSB that was easy to find and understand. Its bitter cold out here. I am seriously considering adding on to my shop and putting in a lift and spray foaming the whole thing for extreme cold and heat. In the single digits right now.

Could be worse, you could be in Calgary with-35. My buddy was supposed to go to Palm Springs yesterday but the flight got cancelled because it was too cold. Sunday now maybe

Currently 6 degrees and that is the high. It will fall through the afternoon. Nw wind 15 to 25 with high gusts. Dropped the ice eater in the pond after chopping a hole. Its several inches thick.

Spray foam is great insulation, but if it covers wood and a water leak ever develops, any damage/rot will be hidden for years.

Yeah that's one disadvantage.
