Hand made hat and it's warm, been able to use it a very few times, has to be really cold and very little body movement, HA!
We call them Mad trapper hats. Haha. Charles Bronson had one running from the law in the North. You look old enough to remember that movie. Haha like me. Like you I can only wear mine if it’s really cold. Mine isn’t home made though. Plus you got the wood in. Everything is frozen up here. Slush is now ice and the water is not water anymore. Haha.

I don't know how tires take the frozen slush! I'm not that old! I watched all the Steve McQueen movies when they first came out and then the Bronson movies later! HA! I'm having my mid life crises at 61! It passed, must have been a false alarm on my sensitive day! HA! Had a A hole of a customer call one day and started griping and just kept going on and on about nothing, I got mad, and yelled into the phone, this is my sensitive day and I have had enough, freaked the guy out and he started being real nice, HA! That's the running joke around the shop, never know when my sensitive day is, HA! When it comes to employees or A holes, I never have a sensitive day!

And I think the movie was called The Mad Trapper. He was running from the Mounties in the North trying to make it to Alaska. Can’t remember the year but had to be ‘70s

You’re funny Caper. That’s old school, it’s not just antifreeze.....:D:D:D
I thought the same thing afterwards. Haha. You always had to make sure it was good for-50. And if you forgot. I had a winter beater. ‘73 LTD. It popped a frost plug one time. Put one back in filled her half and half, haha, it was a good car for $50.

Everything is ice this morning. And we had a dusting of snow on top so you can’t see the ice. Temperature is going to keep dropping all day. It’s 20 now going to 10. That’s warm for everyone in the cold. Haha. Play safe.

good if you have cheap electric, I used to be a maintenance guy for about years we had a few heat pumps, not the most efficient thing. you have to run compressor heaters 4 or 5 months a year and those had electric heaters in the duct because it wasn't enough in jan or feb. I live in a rural area and the power goes out a lot, oil furnace just have to worry about is the fan. have a gauge on the switch normally runs 1k with fridge and fans on, inverter gen runs about 1 g per 8hrs, you would need 5-6k. I had one of those and I had to go fill three 5g cans to last a day and a half, not fun when no one has power.

The heat pumps are getting more efficient every year. My brother is a diesel mechanic and has his air tec license. He works on gen sets on containers for Hapeg Loyd. He said every year they are getting more efficient. My power bill is only $90 over last year. Our power is capped. Haha. We made a deal with Newfoundland to bring the power from Muscat falls through Cape Breton and through Nova Scotia to go to you guys in the U S . Good for us good for everyone. Clean power. Newfoundland owns Churchhill falls too and Quebec makes most of the money because they had to go through Quebec to get it to the U. S. So NFLD said screw You we’re going to make a better deal and screw Quebec. Haha. Good. So our power should be good for a few years. Haha

Oh and I put a gen panel next to my regular panel. I switch a switch on my panel and one on the gen panel and it powers my furnace, fridge, lights, water heater, computer and tv. Yeah the heat pump I figured was too much. So I just plug in the generator to the plug on the outside of my house and I’m good. As long as I have gas for the generator, haha.
