The diffs had a smaller nipple sticking out so I had to reduce the tube size like this

They seem to fit tight and I'll get to test it soon.


EDIT: after 800 miles, the bellow has caused the pinion seal to fail. I do not recommend this mod.

These bellows can expand and contract for the fluctuations in pressure due to heat build up. They are meant for jeeps so they should definitely be good for a pioneer.

The pressure is what makes it expand. When the diff cools off, the pressure will reduce and pull the bellow back down.

Some people may not want to ford deep water but if you're 20 miles down a trail and can either cross a creek or turn around, these mods will allow you to have a piece of mind and keep going.

The vent tubes don't vent heat so much as it does the expanding air, one of those billows carries the expandable volume of 25' of vent hose. The heat or hot expanding air goes into the billow slightly expanding it, as the machine cools off and air pressure drops the billow retracts. These differentials are small they only have so much volume to expand to begin with.

As I was researching about it a thread from the rzr forum popped up so I opened it and read it and they said they were all running the artic cat bellows that come stock on them because they are softer. And there are guys running them for the fuel tank vent also. It was said that if you run it up to the top of cab and put a small incision in the fold of the bellow that you will have no problem.

As for the fuel tank, I raised the vent to about mid way up the back of the seat. I posted some pics a couple pages back in this thread.

Did you bellow it also or just put a filter on it?

No bellow or filter as of now. I would like to find a filter soon if I can think about it.

We use pneumatic exhaust filter at work which would be great for this application.

OEM did not use a filter and it was lower. At least I've got it moved higher, I'll have a filter soon.

This pic shows how they are removable when I'm working around the acreage at home.


I can remove the plastic rivets and the extension when I know I'll be using the dump bed. I can put the extension back one when riding for recreation for the day.

May I ask what material you used to create your flare extensions? I believe I will do the same to mine.

I bought some HDPE on Amazon. It is the same material that the fender flares are made out of.

Work is still keeping me busy. I did manage to drop in the bedliner. I know, big job right! For anyone interested in the fit and finish....

I had a little time this evening to get a couple things done. First was the bed extender. Pretty straight forward install. This is a quality piece, very sturdy, easy to remove, and should add a little extra room.
