@joeymt33 Very nice, like how you have the isolator tucked away while integrating a battery strap and ground for the second battery. But what is the black box between the radiator tank and the intake pre filter cover? Is that your PDM or winch relay?

That is the OEM PDM. Because I want to install a radio, I would run out of room for switches where the warning placard is. Therefore, I chose to use the OEM switch panel and PDM. It's a little pricey but the switch panel was precut and included a volt meter. Also, all the wiring was included with relays and fuses. I only had to insert the switches and connect accessories to the PDM. I have a Bussman PDM like you have for my remaining accessories.

In this picture you can see the OEM switch plate. Also you can see the panel for the radio and other switches. I could have crammed them all in next to the radio but I prefer to have some room between switches so they can be switched accurately while the vehicle is bouncing around. Also, when wearing gloves, the extra distance between the switches help.

Not saying it's for everyone, it's just my preference.

More on the battery strap. It's just a piece of mild steel I bent to the contour of the battery. It's held by one screw that goes into the metal brace just behind the battery. On the other side, I cut a rectangle hole and slid the piece in. There's not any metal for a screw to be used on both sides.

Got the radio and three more switches installed today. I had to stop there because I'm waiting on the PDM and USB port for the last switch hole. Also, I'm waiting on the WetSounds Ultra 6 to finish out the stereo.

I cut a hole in the dash and left enough plastic to attach the panel too.

Here's the panel cut and ready

I went ahead and started wiring what I could like the hots and grounds for the back lighting

Here it is installed for now.

Looking at your rear fender flares, I cannot quite see what you had to cut. I have them also and didn't have to cut anything on the rears. I am at work and can't look at mine now but I'm gonna have to look over the area that you had to cut and see what maybe I am missing....I seem to be doing that more lately. May I ask about what you are using for interior lights?

And....with the OEM PDM in place already, I can't wait to see what you are going to do with the Bussman. I still haven't placed mine, although I have changed the type of isolator I plan on using that doesn't require a connection to an ignition source, and it's much shorter in height, hopefully affording more placement options. Placement of your front cubes was very creative...and the pushpins for your switchplate.

I see you have a winch In and Out switch and a winch power switch, On the rocker (In & out ) switch does is stay in the in or out position till you turn it off or does it just go in or out as long as you pushing it one way ? Also if you don't mind me asking whats the point of having the winch power switch?

the in/out switch is probably momentary so when you let off the switch the winch stops. I would assume that the winch power switch, when turned off would disable the in/out switch in case of accidental contact.

There's several topics here and I'll break it up and comment on one at a time.

1: fender flares. I'll post another pic of the cut out place. It's at the very back of the rear flares. There's was already a cut out in the correct location but it had to be enlarged quite a bit.

2: the interior lights are pictured below. They have been very durable in my experience. I've got them on my truck rear bumper as well used for reverse aux lights. They are alway out in be weather and never failed. They are super bright!

F12b34564c002ca9a1b5ee14858212ad

3: space is tight under the hood. Not sure where I will place the PDM yet either.

4: thanks for the compliment on the lights and plastic rivets for the switch/radio panel.

The winch In/Out switch is momentary style so no need to turn it off. Just release it.

The winch power switch lets me lock out the power so that I won't accidentally pull the cable too tight or release it. It also lessens the chance my sons will activate it.

More on the MudBuster fender flares. I had a chance to test them out. I had some problems with mud to show for evidence.

First pic, you can see the front fenders collected a lot. The faster you go, the more the front tires sling it straight up and then it's carried back on the fenders and windshield.

Second pic and third pic, his shows how much the rear tires sling up just behind the flares. It's get everywhere.

This pic shows how they are removable when I'm working around the acreage at home.

I can remove the plastic rivets and the extension when I know I'll be using the dump bed. I can put the extension back one when riding for recreation for the day.

I guess I'll be add another task to the to-do list. The sub trans will need to be snorkeled as well.

Here's the vent tube which goes into the frame just below the seat

Here's what happens when you get water in the sub trans. Look down the dip stick hole

I'm glad I have a routine of checking EVERYTHING after every long ride. I don't do that every day around home but I will after all day events.

The good news is, the only time I drove thru deep water was just before I put it on the trailer. After that, we came home. I'm sure this is where that water got in there. We found a deep water hole with a hard bottom that we used for cleaning the mud out of the skid plates just before heading out.

I'll go buy some cheap oil and change it two or three times and then refill with Honda recommended oil. Should be no problem at all. I've seen this several times on my foreman 450s engine oil and its 13 years old now with no issues or repairs.

GO HONDA!

I would say it's time for some protection for the undercarriage and A-arms.

I'm doing the bellows on the subtrans and both diffs. The fuel tank need to be vented with an open ended tube so I'll leave that the way I have it extended.

What does the vent lines do anyways that's on the diffs? I've put bellows on my old Polaris rzr no problems I guess that's what I'll do on the Honda.

Am I looking this up right? What exactly is it going to do to help vent lines?
