been looking at all the rim choices available these days and beadlocks are such a popular option! But I’ve heard of leaking issues! Those that have them, do you like them or wished you had non-beadlocks?

I'm running the tusk nebo beadlocks with super swamper tsl's. I used ultra black rtv on the beads for insurance that they wouldn't leak. 300 miles in and no trouble yet. The beadlock rings were a pita. I broke dozens of grade 8 bolts trying to get to the 20ftlb of rated tourqe.

I have dual beadlocks, and So far so good I used bead sealer on mine and I do have a slow leak on one that takes a couple of weeks to lose down to 3-4 psi from 8-10.

BUT the rings have taken a lot of abuse that might have punctured a tire and sereral times I’m fairly positive at low pressure I would’ve pulled a tire off the rim.

If you do have a flat it’s an easy trail patch even from the inside. So I carry a innertube and patch kit(I figure if I am patching it I am not TOO worried about torque specs) along with my ½” drive impact wrench with a lug nut socket( I’d tighten them by hand but I’d remove them with it for speed)

Inner tube and patch kit is much lighter and smaller than a full size spare tire and cheaper too. I can fit it in the Fat50 ammo can under my seat with all the tools I carry, I don’t even have to take up space in my door storage.

No I bought then from ebay. I just went to tsc and bought every 5/16x1" grade 8 bolts they had. The cost of the bolts wasn't an issue for me i was more pissed that it took me 5 hours to get the things together. Half way through I regretted buying beadlocks. After fighting through it and getting them on the bike I'm glad I didn't give up. I love being able to air down without worrying about losing the bead. The bolts that I broke were always the first one I torqued. After doing all 20 I would recheck #1 and it would break off every time. I eventually set the torque wrench at 18ftlbs for that last check and had no further trouble. I've since been told my trouble may have came from using anti sieze on the bolts allowing me to over tighten them.

I"ve read where they shouldn't be torqued to more than like 16 ft lbs

I have the STI HD9 beadlocks I have two that loose a little air - I just need to take the time to pull the bead ring/ clean and re tighten.

I have a question ?? what and where did You get inner tube for tire, I have 28x10-14 evo's with STI HD9 beadlocks,, what tube do I need to carry???? Thanks,,,,

Bingo on using the anti seize.
