Engine oil pressure isn’t squirted against the rear main seal of the engine in your Toyota, I don’t know for sure, just speculation. If the sub trans oil level sits at a higher level when sitting idle, fluid could transfer

I don't like my Toyota, want to buy it? We are talking about a P1 here, the sub trans bolts directly to the motor / transmission and that runs with a positive pressure, I don't know the pressure, but would bet it's above 30 PSI, I wouldn't think gravity would come into play???????

Checked the vent line all is wide open so I don’t know if going to keep a eye on it and then have to take it to Honda and see what they say

Ouch the Honda shop here I bought ours has a shop rate of $ 129.00 per hour. By any chance is it still under warranty? I wonder if it would be safe to do a pressure test with two gauges add pressure to the sub tran and connect a gauge up to the crankcase and see when you add pressure to the suborn it shows up on the crankcase gauge?????? Very low psi???

What’s wrong with your Toyota? I have two, the V8 4Runner and TRD Tacoma. Love them both. Both are 2005s.

My 2017 Tundra is a gas hog, 10 mpg with our S X S in tow and 13.1 empty? This truck is going to go! The way I drive I need an oil burner! HA!

Damn. That’s pretty bad. I need to upgrade my tow vehicle, I’ll take the Tundra off the list haha.

Maybe you got a dud... my 5.7 '08 Tundra Crew towed great. I wouldn't have minded the s***ty gas mileage so much if they'd put a larger gas tank in it. It supposedly was a 26.4 gal but with the low mpg it felt like it had a sedan sized 17 gal tank... now there's an option for a larger 38 gal tank.

Just get an old Dodge with the 12 valve Cummins and be done with it. 22 MPG pulling a trailer all day long. And they sound sooooo good! No DEF, no particulate filter garbage, no problems.

Or just get one of these. 6 mpg but it has a 100 gallon fuel tank.

Can you share a little more info on the ownership of your machine?
What year?
Buy it new?
Dealer serviced?
Self serviced?
Mileage?
When did you notice this issue?

Wonder how it drives at 70-75 MPH? HA!

It will run about 65 mph with 16:00-20 tires (53" tall). Allison automatic, Cummins turbo diesel, AC, power steering, with air brakes. It actually rides pretty darned good on the highway. Offroad is a different story....
