Soooooo any ideas why my airbox filled with oil?

@Sheetmetalfab I am activly looking into lawyers that can assist me in a suit agenst R2C. When i find the right guy ill let ya know! I have at least 4 documented catastrophic failures as of today. Plus 4-6 that cought the problem before it damaged anything.

What is the $ amount cost for repairs? What is the $ amount that kicks it out of small claims in Texas?

Holy hell, that out of pocket expense would make me physically ill.... Would claiming this "accident" on your insurance help any?

I'm still willing to buy the cases off you to help offset a little bit of that cost, possibly the old head also depending on how bad the cam journal's are wiped out.

I hope you find a great lawyer and hit R2C where it counts. Fu*k them!!

When/if you get your engine rebuilt and want to sell the old cases I'm interested in them.

Insurance doesn’t cover negligence.

I’d have to crash it and total it.

(should have hit that last hillclimb by the truck?)

i looked at the old cases and cylinders and I can’t find anything wrong with them……. (It appears the low compression was entirely in the head / valves……..)

currently zero confidence in the dealer……

You're at the point to consider finding a wrecked Talon and using that engine. Honda built is better than a shop rebuilt IMO; even if you have to ship from the lower 48.

Also im well on my way to finding a lawer to go after R2C.

I think you are getting taken for a ride by that dealer. There is no fawkin way that all those parts went to s*** because you sucked dirt into the intake. If the shift motor is bad it's because they broke it. I don't remember you saying you had shifting problems before or during the air filter fiasco, so why now?

I'd tell them that I want every single used part they took off or replaced in your engine right down to the valve cover gasket so you can personally inspect it, and if you find that they replaced something that wasn't needed, that there would be hell to pay when my lawyer contacted them.... Stuff like this makes me very angry!! 😡

^^^^ this guy was WAY too optimistic.
pulled the airbox cover just to peek and had about a cup of oil in there.

dropped it at the dealer along with my firstborn.
