Where can you still ride in Loxahatchee? Thought all that was locked up years ago. Used to live back in the acreage, when there was only 2 houses on 56th pl N.

The closest spot for me is Corbett WMA. I live off of North Lake and Grapeview. I'm about 3 miles from the south entrance.

There are still a few empty lots around that have some small trails and mud holes but thats just to blow off some steam for 10 15 minutes or so 😉. Any other good driding is a about 1 1/2 hrs away

Showed this thread to my wife, said we cant move out west because I would be too busy riding all the time....

Dragged them all out in single digit temps for retaliation. Made the best of not having a true snow machine, parked on Jericho lake below, messed up a lot of good pics because phones were too cold.

Kinda been on a Superstions kick as of late. Also been watching some of the many shows on the area. Specifically...the legendary "Lost Dutchman" mine.
I'd said elsewhere that I wished I could ride the area north west where the "mine" was believed to be (there are many, many theories). The more modern concensus is that if the Dutchman is, in fact a mine, it HAS to be in the eastern supes (from a geology standpoint). Right where I've been posting lately. Riding around in legendary old west history...

Spring has come to the desert, and the blooms are starting. Beautiful day in AZ.

I followed a narrow trail to the west that ended up taking me to a summit at the top of millsite canyon. This is on the edge of the wilderness area, and the Woodbury fire remnants were very clear here. Any further north requires you to hike...

After doing the entire Montana mtn loop, I did a trail on the east side I'd been wondering about. It wound its way up the steep hillside to a few mines. One had flowing water and smelled slightly of sulphur.
Where these the Dutchman's diggings?

I doubt it. But the view was nice...

Arrived back at the truck well after dark, but under a full moon. Only one left at the staging area, with only an owl for company. A beautiful night that made me sad to leave.

As a newb, I just discovered this thread. I'm a desert rat at heart so thanks for the spectacular photos, DG. I'll be headed to the southwest in a few weeks. #ridin'

Late start and forgot to bring my "break bag" with tire plugs and everything. So a little paranoid all day, and even considered going home. Glad I didn't, as it turned out to be a great ride in and around Silver king canyon.

Small trail led to one of the best Vistas yet...

It's remarkably green there. I'm surprised Ms. Blaylock's grave hasn't been 'upgraded' over time, that's a very simple marking given that she was Wyatt Earp's wife.
