That edge, is a 300 ft drop to the switchback trail below. All jagged rocks.

Much easier to go down it than up it.

Here is the best video of the big sand cave on the Tackett Creek Trail. This is North and East of Ride Royal Blue Campground and within riding distance from campground. I will try to scout it out soon.

Very cool area, locals tell me there is 26 different colors of sand from all the minerals there.

Just read this 43,000 acres of Tackett Creek Unit is now part of the TWRA system, meaning legal to ride on.

I finally found GPS tracks for Tackett Creek. In the link below you can download the .gpx file that will work with Garmin or ORUXMAPS app on Android devices.

It notes the caves, etc. Note these tracks are 14 years old from 2002. There is also the option to download the .kml file and use with Google Earth on your pc for detailed view of current sat images

Looking quickly fastest way is to take Stinking Creek Rd East to 25W, turn right go about 1/4 mile turning left onto Habersham Rd. it goes right to it, I know there are outlaw trails that go to 25W from the campgrounds just not sure yet how or if they link up going East of 25W to the Tackett Creek Unit.

Pretty sure I've seen that hill back a few years... I watched propane powered crawlers try it and some make it some didn't

Really mean hill. I remember that hill when it was nothing more than a road. (20 years ago). Nobody attempted it yesterday but we will see at the Jamboree this weekend. Our wheelbase doesn't look like it will allow use to make it.
