Rough night..

So tonight our family had to say goodbye to our girl Stella.. She'd been with me for 10 years and two wives!! Two weeks ago she was hit by a car and broker her pelvis and had a deep hip wound.. she was doing well for about a week and then took a turn for the worse. She stopped eating and was feeling pretty rough. We had to drop our oldest off tonight and when I got home I could tell she wasn't going to make it much longer. She held on until we could say our goodbyes. She was a good'un and will be greatly missed! I've got two little girls that sure are going to miss their pup. I know I sure will!!

Damn, I'm sorry man. losing a pup is the worst. Hope you and your kids can remember the good times and heal a bit. Sounds like she was loved and had a really good run.

I'm very sorry JT. I know it is tough. Anybody who owns a dog will agree that they become our children. I'm sorry you and your family are going through this. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Sorry JTW, I've lost 3 boxers in my life and it's not easy. They are wonderful dogs. Cheer up bud, and go look at the boxer rescue website. I'm sure there are more looking for a good home.

Sorry for your lose. I had to put my old 16 year old heeler down before Christmas. I tried to prepare myself, but there is really now way of preparing. Best wishes to your family.

JT read this early this morning but wasn't really sure what to say.....Been through the same with my German Shepard Dutches, it was all i could do to hold the tears back.

Been there done that, Its so hard losing your best friend, they can brighten even the worst days. Im so sorry JT

Condolences JT. Had to put my Beagle down a couple years ago, cried like a girl.
Got him when my son was young, a boy's gotta have a dog. He held on until just after my boy moved out.

I sure appreciate the kind words.. I'm having to keep myself busy today. She was my girl. The ground is frozen here so it's going to take a few days to put her to rest. Makes it all the more hard.
