3/4" is almost identical to 19mm

I'm curious if anyone has put together a list, or started a list of the actual tools needed for the pioneer. For the sake of a trail kit. Granted you may need tools for other machines out there but I'm thinking if im on a long trip and want to save weight and space what do i need specifically for the Pioneer 1000. For instance I know I need 10 and 12mm, also the steering stem nut is a 19mm. Is there anything thats 14,15,16 or 17mm? What tools are needed on the ball joint?

The goal of this thread is to provide a precise list of tools one would need to fix their Honda Pioneer on the trail.

I'll continue editing the list below

Sockets:
10mm body bolts
12mm
14mm
17mm Tie rod ends
19mm Steering stem
21mm Tapered lugs
22mm Standard lugs
30mm Axle nut

Wrenches:

1 1/4" open end wrench or crows foot for inner tie rod end.

Allen:
5mm for air box?
5 or 6mm for engine cover panels

14mm is the hex size on inner tie rods for setting toe.
5mm hex for airbox is confirmed.
5mm hex for body panels is confirmed.
Stock Honda Lugnuts are 19mm
Aftermarket hex nuts like @JTW runs are 17mm (Maybe he can confirm?)
1/4" or 5/16" (6mm/8mm) for Heater hose clamps.
Torx 50 for upper seatbelt bolts. (Confirmed 1/22)
5/8 for seatbelt lap bolts. (Confirmed 1/22)
Although I doubt you will be doing trailside repairs on seat belts.
10mm 5 bolts holding front seat back in place.
10mm on door hinges, all nets held in with 10mm

Yes knipex cobra plier and the plier wrench are a fantastic tools, also I agree with the plastic rivet tool when you have have to tear everything down they are very handy.

Small vise grips to squeeze off a brake line if needed.

Bare minimum, wouldn't be caught on the trails without the following tools.
Crowsfoot for Tie Rod
Axle Socket
Metric Socket Set
Metric Allen Keys
6" Knipex Plier Wrench
Waterproof Container
Hammer

Add in a 3/8 & 1/2 ratchet with some extensions, as well as your multi-tool and this should work on most problems.

This was a really good idea and useful to even some that have experience bringing things!
There’s been the same question several times but if someone followed every post you’d be going up the mountain pulling a Snap-on truck. To update the the list into two categories with input from this group is a great thing. Great thread idea!

I didn't list a single Snap-on item!
I did link some Williams wrenches though. But they are dirt cheap in comparison.

Well I didn’t necessarily mean specific brand name. Just meant it’s nice to have the right tools for the job and not bringing a ton of useless stuff. With a good list from people in the field someone can narrow the tools down with just the needed items. A ton of tools is useless if they don’t work on the application

Ya I was thinking about adding starting fluid to the list for tire issues but might be a bit dangerous. We always have a can now, that’s a common used tool. Air canister might be more appropriate

Yeah.. the C02 tire inflator setups are great! I have one in my tool box as well.

Has anybody found a pelican type case that fits inside the rear doors yet? That would make a nice tool box storage location
